He's

still part of the team. So with that, I have to say that I’ll support him and hope to God he does what he is capable of. So, by saying that, which wasn’t much……..I’d have to say that my opinion will be “to be Ginn-tinued”

Give hime time

Wide receivers take time to develop in most cases so give Ginn some time. He doesn’t have anyone else to draw the coverage away from him and Pennington is unsuited to his ability to beat the defenders down field.

I agree with finsxfactor...

Everytime he makes a big play, you guys are ready to call him the next Steve Smith. If he has a bad week, then he’s a bust, and we should have drafted Brady Quinn. Get off his nutsack already, and let the kid develope. All you need to hear is what Sparano and the team have been saying all along…He is running with speed, running crisp routes, and he is progressing nicely. Maybe if one of our QB’s could throw the ball more than 15 yards downfield, he would have his big play. Christ, it takes the kid 4.3 seconds to run 40 yards. Well, if the QB only has about three seconds to throw it, how does that help Ginn? He need s time to get downfield, and separation.

Now is the time- the time to rise up from the depths of Hell and stake our claim back on top of the AFC East...Look out Gaytriots here comes Jake Long and the Phins

Wow

answers to your questions….
“Will he for once burn anybody deep?” – How about, will he see single coverage, and will it be against somebody other than Cromartie? If not, then I doubt we hit a deep route.

“will he make a dam big play????” – If he’s deep returning kicks, I’d say the answer is probably. But since he’s being used exclusively as a WR, and is still growing into a position he clearly hasn’t mastered yet, the answer is most likely no. Unless first down catches and the occasional Run After Catch on a screen is your idea of a Big Play.

“what kind of trade value is he worth? 3rd rounder? 4th round pick?” – He’s not trade bait. He’s a project WR, simple as that. He came into the league with potential, not polish, and it’s taking a little while for everything to click for him. We basically had to start from scratch with him, because all he had to do his whole life was run deep, now he needs technique and learn how to run routes, so I’d give him a little more time.

“…too light..too skinny…..?” – Maybe, but would you want him to get jacked and slow down? The reason he’s so dangerous is his speed, not power, so I wouldn’t worry about him hitting the weights so much as I think he should stay on the field learning how to run all the routes and get separation.

If Ginn can drag a DB or two, maybe an LB off the line and let the Ronnie/Ricky show go on. Sobeit. The ground attack’ll then open it up for him.
All them deep routes are exciting, sure, go watch the puppies in college ball. Before Marino (who didn’t get the ring) there was Csonka.

The only reason

Ted Ginn can be considered a bust is because Cam-Cam & Co. waaaay overvalued him in the draft. If he had gone late second, or early third he would be far less scrutinized. Not his fault, but at the same time he needs to show up consistently at some point.

I have said before I don’t see him as the next Steve Smith, but more like a Randle-El type. A solid 2nd or 3rd option, with the occasional big play.
