New Lettering on Jerseys

I hadn't noticed it in any of the games earlier this season, but did it look like the shadow behind the numbers on the jersey had gotten smaller or had disappeared?  And the jerseys looked more aqua rather than green.  Maybe the great play is giving me flashbacks of the good ol days, but i'm hoping that this is the new look of the Dolphins.  I know it wasn't throwback because they still had the cartoon dolphin on the helmet rather than the stencil of the dolphin.

I think

they were the same….they did look more Aqua though didn’t they? Maybe its just because the haze of obscurity was making everything look dull for us for so long, now like someone took off the shades, things look brighter and newer!

actually

I think the shadowing did get smaller in the offseason. i have no proof of this, but i can remember reading it somewhere. it was probably Weekly World News

True

The Ref’s were saying they were having a hard time reading the numbers especially from the club box the ref’s use.

correct

I believe the “shadow” behind the number was made smaller last year.

I'm with Matty

I’m pretty sure they reduced the size of the shadow prior to the start of last season.

found this too.....

• Subtle change for the better in Miami, where the drop shadow on the Dolphins’ uniform numbers is now thinner, reportedly because TV announcers were having trouble differentiating certain numerals in recent seasons. Compare last year (here, here, and here) to this year (here, here, here, and here). A major improvement.
