PrintI'd like to take a second to introduce to you all Brian Barkey. Brian is, among other things, a cartoonist - having done some major work for Major League Soccer, having some of his cartoons published in the MLS's national magazine. He's also a teacher and a published writer. And you can see his work at his website, BarkeyCreative.
I bring this up because Brian has contacted me about doing some cartoons to help lighten up the mood here for us. Considering he's an immensely talented guy, I jumped at the opportunity. Below is his first cartoon - which I think is rather self-explanatory.

I just hope that M. Dolphin catches a few and gets stronger, and doesn’t just end up getting snagged in a “Tuna” net.

i think it’s great & would make a great addition to the site. not every site has a pro cartoon maker.. great job!
What The Deuce?
I love this idea. Here are some random suggestions...
1. Donald Beck meets Daffy Beck.
2. The obvious Soprano spoof.
3. Fin City, Frank Miller-style.
4. “Parcells in a can” product advertisement.
5. Bruce Wayne Huizenga.
6. John Wayne Huizenga.
7. Lil’ Wayne Huizenga.
8. Ronnie/Ricky as a two-headed monster.
9. Anything fly-wheel related.
10. I loathe the Jets. (Not illustrative, I just wanted to end on a neat ten and couldn’t think of another one.)

That's not a bad idea
However, I don’t really want to bother the busy SBN tech people with this request. But to those of you who are good at creating graphics and whatnot, feel free to submit some ideas. Keep in mind that the image would have to be 175 pixels wide by 192 pixels high and should probably be a .gif.

I can’t do graphics, wouldn’t even know where to begin. But I do have a good name for the Phinsider logo…….“Dayov” sound it out……..Dayov The Dolphin eh? maybe?

This is true….. They had a contest when they introduced the mascot. Send in your best names blah blah blah…….I sent “Dayov” thinking……its done…..i’m getting season tickets that I can’t use because I’m out of state, but oh well, my legacy will live with my beloved team! They picked “T.D”……..Touch Down…..The Dolphin……geeeeee how original….I was pissed. So now when I see that fluffy Dolphin with the helmet on his head dancing around……he, to me at least is “Dayov”
Thats my story, and I’m stickin’ too it.

It would take away from Marino. Seeing a fluffy dolphin being a fool in front of thousands of people, shouldn’t be associated with Marino. Pay off your late fees and rent it. You’ll curse me…..I mean thank me later

maybe we should scrap the whole Dolphin idea and become the Miami Marino’s. And Marino can just be our mascot. And our logo could be a nutrisystem food box….

Hey, it would be awesome to have a Phinsider regular cartoon. If our team can’t be great now, at least our blog can be!
