Worse than last year?

The defensive performance I saw today was one of the worst from a pro team that I can recall ever seeing.  Arizona is not THAT good a team to slash and gash all over the field against us like they did.  I knew we'd have problems stopping the WR's, but really - that looked like a pro team against a bad college team today.  They could have dropped 50 on us easy if they wanted to.  And the penalties were horrid.  12 men on the field?  Twice?

My question to you is - are we worse than last years team?  I don't really want to consider it, but after todays game, I'm wondering...

ok...

what positives did you take from today’s game?

lol

we didn’t get shut out. Henne looked good. They never gave up. And, the most important thing….I’m almost sure as hell they learned more today than what they thought they knew yesterday. I’m not a doom and gloomer, never have been, never will be. But to each his own, if it helps, go for it. There are alot of hot dolphin fans right now, it shouldn’t be hard to stoke the fire.

I agree

Today was an awful performance. Just awful. But we took some things from it. The secondary learned that they need to step their game up and the team needs to focus on not making so many mental errors. Its growing pains at its finest, and as far as them putting up numbers on us. I mean come on, they got two Pro-Bowl WR’s and a damn QB who knows what he’s doing and has a ring to prove it. They could have easily done that to someone else. It’s going to be a slow process and there will be alot of wtf games, but stay true. One of the best things is Ricky and Ronnie can run the ball and Ronnie is starting to get his swagger back, look how he punched in that TD. The rookie from Michigan, baby Chad, showed some real confidence in the pocket and showed that he is aware of his surroundings and can see the pressure coming. He actually made the receiving corps look half-way decent. Now don’t get me wrong I would love to see him start but not yet. Remeber how many past QB’s for our team had a shining moment on the last few drives after we were getting blown out, they started the next game and they sucked even more. Makes me kinda wish we had Jay Field back, lol. We have a few bright spot and its going to go nowhere but up. Sparano went for it on 4th down, which is something he could have had said fuck that to. But he didn’t because he has complete faith in these boys as we should. You guys know that some coaches would have said fuck it we are getting blown out and just kick the FG so we dont get anyone hurt. Old Chad was suspect but we knew that he would have days where he would be. He’s just a filler til baby Chad gets more use to and better at the speed of the game.

Nowhere to go but up...

We said that last year too…

I went into this game with some optimism after last week. I didn’t expect to win, mainly because their WR’s are so good and our DB’s are so bad, but I fully expected a competitive showing. What I saw was confusion, ineptitude, and piss poor execution across the board.

So yeah, I’m finding it pretty difficult to find the silver lining in yesterdays performance.

I will say this – I have a lot more confidence in Parcells and Sparano to turn things around than I ever did with Cam Cam. I hope I’m right.

This is what rebuilding is, deal with it

Are you picking up what I'm putting down?

Its only week 2 of the football season, and I’m going to enjoy it. Regardless.
