BECK?

1.so is Beck going to see time tommrorw? Why would he not?

2. Does BP not like Beck?

3. If Henne is so good how come he did not get drafted earlier?

4. Y. Bell or B. Merriweather?

5. Do we have new Offensive plays this year?

6. Our corners are small compared to other teams? Do they stress weight training down in MIA or what?

1. Yes.

2. I think BP wants whoever can win the most games. Beck isn’t showing he can, yet.

3. O-line and Defence. Sometimes you gamble that a pick will be there and as Brian Brohm was the only other top QB left on the board it made sense to get Henne immediately afterwards.

4. Tough call. Bell has experience but B. Merriweather has some hilarious goofy moments (like when he was talking smack to Amani Toomer during week 17 – or the SB can’t remember – while he was walking backwards away from their sideline he tripped and fell on his ass. It was a good lol).

5. I’m assuming we do with a new Offensive Coord. and philosophy.

6. I think they focus on playing intelligent. Colt Bob Sanders is only around 5’8 – 5’9 but plays smart but aggressive. They all weight train, too.

So...

1 – The Sun is reporting only 2 QB’s will play against TB and Beck may not be one of them.

2 – All the answers are pure speculation. Ask BP himself if you want to know for sure.

3 – If Tom Brady is so good then why did he not get drafted earlier?

4 – Er, Ed Reed :)

5 – We better because Cam-Cam’s favorite play, the 5 yard checkdown aint cutting it!

6 – See question 2.

where r u seeing that in the sun that 2 qb will play I can’t find that story.

hmmm

1) No – only 2 qb’s will play and beck was demoted to 3rd this week

2) who knows – but we do know he is not one of ‘his’ guys… more importantly why do his teammates not respect him???

3) salary cap economics – QB’s in the first round are high risk with the cap….with 1st round picks comanding so much money… and since qb’s do nothing else… GM’s are deciding that its better to take a player who even if he doesn’t start can contribute in other ways (special teams – rotations) ... BTW. Henne was the 4th QB taken so its not like he wasn’t one of the highest rated qb’s on the board (btw: beck was the 5th or 6th?? qb taken in his class)

4) bell

5)whole new offense …. same players thought

6) when you buy (all are free agents) CBs, unless you spend 100 mil, you get ones with issues… Miami bought the smaller ones cheap.

show me your sources

I’ve now herd a few times now that John Beck has been “demoted” to the third string QB. Really, are you kidding me? Where have you heard this, besides from some of the talking heads in the media who seem to have an unnatural man crush on Henne. Which sources can you quote that really matter (ie. Sparano, Parcells, etc.)
If everyone hasn’t noticed Beck has pretty much outplayed the other two QB’s all week. I don’t need to site anything because Matty has done a fine job of documenting it all week.

Secondly, Since when has a single player shown any signs of disrespect for John Beck? Can you name just one such case? My guess is that you can’t. Just because some of his teammates are giving Henne some praise does not mean that they are bashing Beck. Henne has done a fine job in camp and therefore has received some well earned compliments. But I do seem to recall Beck’s teammates last year praising him as well when he was a rookie and was outperforming Green and Lemon’s (I certainly don’t mean to imply that Henne is outperforming the other two). Beck is the starter, then Henne and then McCowen.

NOOOO!!!!!!!! I'LL NEVER TELL!!!! I'm sworn to secrecy

yup, don’t care if you believe it or not, but its true… you must have believed JT when he said he didn’t ask for a trade back in april/may too?

first off – every paper that covers camp noted that Henne started with the 1st threes days in a row and mccown was second… now I aint no math guy, but i’m pretty sure when you take 1st and 2nd away, your bronze. But in case you don’t believe ‘biased’ liberal reports with an agenda, then take a look at who was catching the balls Beck threw… Henne this week threw passes to ginn, hagan, & fassano…. beck threw then to foster? & parmalee & kircus & martin…. just take a look at the depth chart and add it up…

as to no respect from the teammates… watch the bills game last year and then tell me if anyone had beck’s back. after he was pulled it was like the plague hit him… not one player came to consoul him. a very telling omen…. after you watch that game or at least the 1st quarter… then we’ll talk about if Beck has the respect of his teammates.

Well that still goes to show

that no matter how much Beck out played both McCowen and your love child Henne this week he still isn’t good enough for you. I also seem to recall an NFL all star by the name of Payton Manning who had a horrendous game 9 against the San Diego Cargers in the regular season. He threw interception after interception in that game and when he finally came out of the game do you think that all of his teammates were rushing to his side to show their support. NO, they let the man stew it over in his head for a while. Perhaps it was because no one respected him. I doubt it. I would venture to guess that it was because they were about to lose a second game in the same number of weeks. But of course they went on to win the Super Bowl that year. Beck doesn’t have that piece of redemption YET so instead we throw him under the bus. I don’t think so.
Now perhaps you can put it more in to perspective why Beck wasn’t being bombarded with consolation from his teammates. The whole team sucked last year and Beck’s misfortunes embodied how the entire team felt. Henne would have treated exactly the same as Beck and super man Manning were treated.
Besides, I don’t believe there is live camera feed that shows everything that happens on the side lines.

except

peyton’s team mates didn’t celebrate when he came out either. you need to go watch the first quarter to that game again.
you’ll see that team act like marino came onto the field when Beck was lifted…

well let me answer these questions

1.I believe that still not knowing who are starting qb is gonna be that beck will see time,To evaluate who will be the best player to start the season off with..Cuz i believe tht this is the last chance he got to prove himself..There gonna take these preseason games real serious…....2 Its not that bill doesnt like beck is that bill doesnt have alot of faith in beck and from what he has see during the off season he doesnt believe that beck is ready to lead a team and be a number 1 qb for the miami dolphins….3 Henne was chosen early in the 2nd round,Most teams dont like to choice qbs early cuz most bcome bust,Also there was so many qbs coming out that year another reason he fell back…And of course his hype was mainly in the beging of the year and then it droped…......But any other year he would of been chosen in the 1st round with out a doubt ….........4.Hard to say but i believe marriweather,Cuz bell is gonna do better in the beging but im sore hell end up getting injured…5 Of course we have new offensive plays we have a new system and its totaly new,But there just simple plays nuthan speacil yet….6 well before we did,It was mostly about spped,,,But now that bill is here now thats all gonna change…..............

I think Beck may not play, because BP may want to trade him

and if he plays bad his stock will go down, but if he doesn’t play, maybe he can get a 3-4th rounder (4th rounder most likely) for him
