Scouting Our Week Two Enemy+Idea

I used to do reconnaissance in the military, so here's my report from Saints v. Cardinals game.  You can't read much into the first preseason game, but here's what I saw:

The Saints 1st team dominated the Cardinals 1st team.  The Saints 2nd team dominated the Cardinals 2nd team.  The Saints 3rd team dominated the Cardinals 3rd team.

The Cardinals pass defense was terrible, Brees ripped off chunks of the field here and there like nothing.  The Saints running game could never get going against the Cardinals D-line, though.  Ricky and Ronnie will have to earn every yard the hard way, inch by inch.  That's the bad news, the good news is whomever the week 2 starter at QB is, could have a 300+ yard day passing.

The Cardinals have a good passing game, and I didn't even see Boldin or Fitzgerald in the game.  However, their running game was awful.  Our D-Line should be able to close down the running game, but they are going to have to get pressure on Leinert otherwise it'll be a long day for our defensive backs.

This team will be very beatable on week 2.

Now my idea portion of this post.  I think we should set up a fund, and donate 2,3,4 or 5 dollars each for a thephinsider.com flag with the Dolphins logo.  We'll donate to Matty or whomever, and it will be our goal, as a collective forum, to fly this flag at every stadium in the NFL.  We'll post pictures of our flag flying along the side of the front page of the forum.  What say you all?  If we can get it together by week 2, I'll fly it at Cardinal stadium and post pics.

P.S.  Anyone coming out here for this game?

Thanks for your take on the Saints/Cards game

I like our chances against Arizona (relative to the rest of the teams we play) if we can just get pressure on the QB – which is a big question mark.

As for the flag idea, if you want to take charge and try to get it to catch on, then I’m all for it.

What are you

Some kind of traitorous Cardinal informant?!?

Seriously though, I like the idea of the flag, but I for one shall not be flying it as I live on the other side of the atlantic and will struggle to see any games in the flesh this year. I’m hoping to catch one in December, but it’s unlikely. If we’d had this idea last year, I would have happily flown the flag in Wembley in London, or in front of this massive JT statue they put up in the city.

To be honest, before we start getting a flag the people who regularly post here should try and meet before games etc and become an IRL fan group. (That’s in real life, people.) If that works out you know you’d have some people willing to get together and get a banner.

Football isn't a matter of life and death - it's far more important than that.

LOL..

our week two ‘enemy’? These are a bunch of incredibly rich guys playing a game – I’d hardly say that constitutes an enemy!

Anyway, the Saints have a pretty strong passing attack and a good QB. With Drew Brees, Shockley, Colston, and now, Meachem, they are way ahead of anything we can do in the air right now.

The cards though do have some DB injuries and are having to start Cromartie, the rookie, so you may as well take your shots.
