UNCONFIRMED RUMOR: Tom Brady to miss 2-4 weeks?
There's a new, unconfirmed rumor making rounds on the internet this afternoon. NFL Juice is reporting via a tip from a writer for some newspaper that Patriots QB Tom Brady could miss between 2 and 4 games to start the season with an injury.
Why am I talking about this on a Dolphins' site? Because the Dolphins, you'll remember, play the Patriots in week 3. Could they actually have lucked out now? Are they going to really be playing against Matt Cassel instead of Brady?
We'll see what happens as this rumor makes its rounds all over the 'net. But the site does note that the last tip that this "source" gave them was indeed spot on. So we shall see...

that would be
HUGE. I used to like to beat teams with all there starters, but after last year I’ll take um anyway they fall. Especially against the Patsies and Jests!

When we play the Pats
I would rather Brady be in there. So I can see his face when our newly revamped Defense rocks their world. Its not as fun to win when the other team has a legitimate excuse.

After last year
I was at the game when Brady had what, 6 TD’s, on the Fins. I will take all the luck I can get. After all the team has had NO luck in some time……..
GO FINS GO !!!!

I hope Brady is healthy
I’d rather see Miami beat New England WITH a healthy Brady than without him. I truly think the Pats are a team in decline (though they probably have enough to win the AFC East this year) anyway. They peaked last year. It’s all downhill now – ala the Cowboys, Niners and others before them. We have the pleasure of watching their stars become more obsolete as our team rises.
I’m sick of the press NE gets. Nothing makes up for it better though, than when Miami whips Brady – and he’s usually (and uncharacteristically) the REASON Miami beats NE (when they do beat them). It wouldn’t surprise me if the Giants used old Miami/NE game tapes when they won the Superbowl.
Get well soon Tom! I need to see you eat a few sacks and get pressured into some interceptions versus Miami. The victory will mean nothing without you!

kinda agree
But……a Win is a Win is a Win……and we’ll take it no matter who is at the helm.

My Fantasy Football QB is P Manning anyway :)
So even if Brady is out, either way, all I want Miami to do is win. In that spirit, i’ll take it too. This assumes a lot – Brady may be fine and the game has to be played, of course

I would like to win with brady in the line-up. But i don’t think that the patriots really cared when they beat us last year with half of our starters out of the line up

I hope for his health
but I don’t mind if he misses a few weeks.

Who care??
We are going to beat them anyway. With or without little brandie.
This is going to be fun either way.
I will see the Dolphins win a SUPER BOWL before i die(21 years and counting)

I was wondering...
…why there were a few Fin fans visiting the Pulpit. ;-) This one will obviously be interesting to follow. Nothing’s come out of the Patriots’ organization (duh!!) but I’m keeping an eye on the news outlets, etc… Oh boy.

he's just jerking the media's chain...
here’s what cbssportsline fantasy says…
Tom Brady, QB NE
News: Tom Brady was back at practice with the Patriots on Sunday, reports the team’s official website. Brady took part in passing drills with the other quarterbacks and showed no signs of being hindered by his recent foot injury.
Analysis: Fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief knowing the No. 1 QB and first-round pick in all leagues will be on the field for Week 1.
oh, and btw: he is listed as probable for week 1…..
so don’t get too excited

it would be strange for this information
to get out of Belicheats lockerroom but I’ll take it…..We could get off to a 3-0 start going into the bye, if we play well instead of 2-1. I think we will be better at the end of the year and if we can get some early wins we may have a shot at the playoffs. If NE gets a slow start because of no Brady we can be fighting for the division by december…….OK I’m getting ahead of myself let me slow down and concentrate on the Jets lol.

All the media outlets are reporting the same thing
The carefully managed Pats machine is quoting Brady:
“If it’s up to me, there’s no question” Brady said Monday. “I’ve been getting progressively better over the past couple of weeks. I’m excited. I’m excited to start the year.”
The always elusive Belichick says:
“We will give you the injury report on Friday,” he told reporters Monday. “We will give you the practice report after we practice.”
Ultimately, it’s up to Belichick (he sat Brady for the last preseason game), but I can’t see him sidelining him.
