Despite what others think (including other dolphans)

I think we are going to have one helluva season this year. Last year going into the season we didnt have that bad of a team. We just had a new head coach that could'nt manage the game very well that couldnt earn the teams respect(Im trying to be nice), a ton of injurys at some key positions, and a so so offensive line and no Ricky Williams ( Albiet Ronnie did exceptionally well, but he is no Ricky).

Now look at what we have: Bill Parcells and Co. who demand respect from their players and emphasize on team work. A way better offensive line (at least on paper so far), Ricky Williams in what appears to be back in rare form, Chad Pennington who I think is going to be the best QB weve had since Marino (showing up well in Preseason games), Ted Ginn which is poised to have a breakout season (receiving and return game), and a "No Name Defense" which has been rockin all preseason with the starters allowing only 7 pts in three games. And yes I know its only Preseason but show me other teams allowing only 7 pts with their starters in 3 preseason games. Tony Sparano has this team believing in themselves and that will also go a very long way.

Yeah, Maybe Im fooling myself and maybe we'll suck out this year, but this optimism feels great. a helluva lot better than thinking we're going to go 5-11 or 6-10. I think we go a minimum of 9-7. And I will stand by that until we have 8 losses under our belts because thats what being a true Miami Dolphin fan is all about.

Gotta Love the optimism bro'!!!!

For the first time in awhile, I am glad to know that I am not the only one that has genuine OPTIMISM!!!!! I think we are in for one exciting season also. I really think we are going to surprise a few teams looking to come to our field for an easy “W”. They will be surprised.

that means they beat the jets at home, they go on the road to arizona and
then either win in NE (after the cross country trip) or beat SD two weaks later at home….

hmmm. gotta love the cool aid… i’d say 2-2 is a great start, 1-3 is likely and 0-4 is possible.

Wish I could be as optimistic...

…but 6-10 seems more likely to me than 9-7. I think the Trifecta needs one more year of remolding the bottom 3rd of our roster – via FAs and another draft. But, a few early wins can make any “middle-of-the-road” team create a “whole that is greater than the parts” and far exceed their projected results.

Ya know when we dumped Zach then Jason

and before Penny, I was thinking the same as everyone else (5-10 if we’re lucky). But after seeing the way this defense is playing (all out), and how efficient the offense is playing with Penny at the helm. One cant help but be optimistic.

Hey whats the worst that can happen by being optimistic. Ill be where these other people are now, at mid season. But it will be great till then.
