Travis Daniels traded to Browns

Many people have been disappointed with his play. Well now he's no longer a Dolphin.

The Dolphins have traded cornerback Travis Daniels to the Browns in exchange for a draft pick. ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that the pick is a 7th round pick.

What this means is that it's likely 2 players out of the following four will make the 53-man roster: Joey Thomas, Nate Jones, Will Billingsley, and Chris Roberson. For now, my money's on Thomas and Jones.

But we'll talk more about that tomorrow when I update my 53-man roster "bubble watch" - which is going to be done a little bit differently this week.

7th or 4th?

Mortensen said a 7th round pick but I got a text message from my buddy saying it was a 4th. After Mortensen’s less than accurate journalism on MNF, I’m thinking 4th rounder for now…

but I really doubt it. He wasn’t doing anything special, and didn’t we draft him for a 4th? If anything, his stock has gone down

Thats great

I say this cuz,When nick saban got the guy when he was a rookie he was just absoultly terrible,The only reason we picked him up is cuz nick saban coached the same school that he went to lsu…But besides that the guy hasnt got better he was just a waist of draft and space….I wish we coulda got smethan a lil bit better for him….But that thats good tho……….

the way these guys pick....

a 7th rounder is a future special teams beast. i like any and all picks for next year. if we are sitting with like 13 picks next yr we could easily contend for the playoffs in 2009 and be a super bowl contender 2011

I’m sorry for a veteran corner to not have any technique whatsoever was particularly disappointing. He embarrassed himself with a missed tackle last week-end, the kind that’ll kill you in a playoff game. You ever see Barrack Obama dance? That’s what Daniels looks like playing corner. He’s a stick figure.

Looks like Beck will be the next one to go. Dolphins want a fourth rounder but it will likely be a 5th or 6th.

parmalele and hillard are the kind of guy we will get in rd 7. nice special teams player. they wont try to get a lottery ticket steal like saban..they will pick a core special teamer. better than daniels.
