Joe Horn interested in Miami?
According to the PBP, his agent contacted Miami. I would have thought he'd want to go to a contender, but I guess that's not necessarily a requirement for Horn.
So would you want him here despite his age?

His agent
has been shopping him around the league all day. The fact that he is now looking at us as an option tells me there was no interest from any sure-fire contenders.
That being said, i dont think it would hurt to have Horn around to mentor Ginn, Hagan and Bess. Alltho bringing in Horn would mean that Camarillo and Kircus are competing for 1 job.

Totally agree
The guy is out of touch with the reality of his current level of ability. He shouldn’t have pressed to be released. Now he’s just out of a job, and unless the Pats want him, he might stay like that for a while.

I mean
I didn’t read your post in detail. I guess I don’t agree that much.

I agree
I think this would be a great move, bring him in for the last two games and let Horn compete with Camarillo, Kircus, and Wilford. Camarillo has good hands and speed but not height, Kircus has height but not break away speed and Wilford has no hands but height. If Horn can get to the level he was in New Orleans, than it would be a good and cheap pickup.
If it ain't Miami Dolphins it's Crap!!!

yup
a solid WR with good fundamantals is just what these kids need. Who knows, maybe this was part of the regime’s plan….load up on youth then bring a couple veteran leaders to guide the future of the team.

NO
for the same reason we don’t want Jay Feely, we dont need a guy who wont be around when we’re finally a good team

Good man, Bill Parcells
These guys are the complete opposite of the past regimes, which seemed lazy and just wanting to rid themselves of things they didn’t want to deal with.
As far as Horn goes… No thanks.
He was a issue last year in the Falcons locker room after the Michael Vick fallout.

NO WAY!!!!
Terry Glenn is one thing, considering his relationship with the regime, but this guy, is an over the hill, complainer, that can’t get it done anymore. He thinks in his warped mind that he still is a number one receiver. No thanks, stay away.
Now is the time- the time to rise up from the depths of Hell and stake our claim back on top of the AFC East...Look out Gaytriots here comes Jake Long and the Phins

NO!
Why? Thought we had a youth movement on.
We're talkin' about PRACTICE....practice!
by hotrod43 on Aug 19, 2008 6:58 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
A youth movement?
penniles is not young at all, but anyway. I remember a guy that was a big mouth too, he even scream “pass me the DANME BALL” that guy is now a big fan of BP. I don’t think he is worst than Chad jonshon on the loocker room. Bring him in, for the right price.
I will see the Dolphins win a SUPER BOWL before i die(21 years and counting)

Chad Johnson is 100 times better
so his mouth is worth it.
T.O’s mouth is worth it….Deion Sanders mouth was worth it…this guys mouth is 23 yrs old but his body is 36. Maybe we will 1 more game with Jow Horn..but thats the diffrence between 5 or 6 wins…not important….then hes gone and we still need a WR

Best Description Of Joe Horn
…this guys mouth is 23 yrs old but his body is 36.
Only way they’re going to get him is if Wilford is getting cut, which could be the case.

he's a cancer
keep him away… all anyone has to do is look at his act in atlanta to see how he’ll be in miami by the end of the year…. this team is rebuilding and they don’t need me first guys.

I always thought Horn was overrated.
In 11 yrs he has busted 1000 yds 4 times, and he hasn’t had 50 catches or 1000 yds since 2004.

So, you guys think Wilford is the answer?
You know we are in trouble at the WR position. Management WILL bring someone with experience, since Wilford just brought his wallet to collect!! : O

i didn't say Wilford is the answer.
we DO need help at WR. I’m just not sold on Horn. I think he may be another problem.

WHAT WINDOW??!??!?!?!?!?!
we havent had a window since 2004. We need guys on the up….Pennington is diffrent because throwing a young QB out there right away isnt the best way to teach him…he needs to go through the meetings….games..and practices 1st to see how a NFL season goes. so Penny is here till he gets it.
STOP IT WITH JOE HORN
!!!!

No thanks!!!
I dont think bringing in an over the hill wr is a good move at all. We are in a rebuilding mode and bringing in age in never a good thing. Time to let the young guys play.

I got all that, i'm just saying
in case he lands in Miami. About a qb teaching a young one, common people, Favre didn’t teach quack to the young qb, green didn’t teach quack to Beck, and we can go on and on and on……..

Pennington has
specifically stated that he is excited to help Henne get better as soon as possible. We’ve got a real class act on our hands; I might buy a Pennington jersey.

Then more power to you
But i will cut mine hand. The that pay for the jersey : )

Hope not TOO!!
But that is all. Tha facts are that the trifecta want an expirience wr. The only thing that could save us is if Wilford step it up and star to show something, anything

Well i dont know yet
Well i realy cant agree with bring the guy here cuz hes probley gonns want a lil to high of a price…Plus hes realy gonna havbe no time to learn the system and by the time we become conteners the guy is gonna be retired..So i say if we want to sign smeone theres biger concerns with are o-line to tell you the truth…Joe horn will just be another reciver fighting for the 2 and 3rd spot and we have alot of those on this team………….

Experience vs. bad attitude?
Actually, that’s not the real issue. The real issue is the guy can’t play anymore, from what I hear. And whether a guy is a mentor or a cancer, he’s got to have ability to be worth bringing in. That’s why Terry Glenn isn’t here right now. So I wouldn’t hold my breath on this one..

nope.........
Thanks, but, NO THANKS. He’s 36?? Sounds like 66 in NFL years………
