The Solution To Our WR Woes
BP!! Fly to China. Find Usain Bolt. Offer him all of our current cap space, plus Josh McCown's Money, plus I'll throw in like 10 bucks. Put him out wide. Tell QB to say Hut. Throw the ball as far as he possibly can.
In all seriousness, WOW. That guy just ran a 9.69 100m, and probably could've ran a sub-9.6. He started celebrating with 20m to go, and still won by 2 full tenths. The margin of victory between Bolt and 2nd place was bigger than the margin between 2nd and last. He makes Ted Ginn look like Tom Brady. He would get a 148 speed rating on Madden. He could score on a reverse before the defense started chasing him.
BTW, I'm not serious about signing him, just figured I'd bring up this ridiculous showing of speed. Usain Bolt didn't just set a new world record, he created a new category for speed. There's Fast, World-Class, and Bolt. I'm going to bed before I challenge him to race my car.

Impressive
To put things in perspective…
That would calculate out to a 3.5 sec 40.
That is pretty much close to a half second lead on any top speed in the NFL right now.
Additionally, he’s 6’ 5"…
However, I question how durable he’d be.
But it’d be fun to see him play nonetheless.

That’s the big thing. Would he hold up to the punishment.
It isn’t as crazy a proposition as it may seem. It’s not like the guy is just 6’ and 180 lbs.
Wait… Never mind.

Renaldo Nehemiah
In 1982 Nehemiah worked out for several NFL teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers and the San Francisco 49ers and ended up signing with the 49ers in a blaze of publicity and high expectations. During his three years as a wide receiver he caught 43 passes for 754 yards, a 17.5 average, and 4 touchdowns. Although he was part of the Super Bowl winning team in the 1984 season, he did not play a major role. His football career was a failure – indeed, it represents one of the most glaring mistakes ever made by 49er head coach Bill Walsh

Bob Hayes...
…is the perfect example of the positive outcome a track star could have in the NFL. But Bolt seems a little too thin. But if he can catch, let’s get him in here!!!! lol

Pad speed
Remember guys like Jerry Rice were considered too slow. Some guys are just fast in pads. Another thing about Bolt is that he’s slow out of the block, explosive speed is important. There have been a number of really fast track guys who tried to make it in the NFL, usually they don’t work out.
Plus no way Usain Bolt maintains the same level of fitness with the NFL’s steroid testing policy. The key thing to remember here is that Jamaica doesn’t test for “banned substances”. He’s clean at the Olympics, I’m sure.

Holy crap he is a taller faster version of Ted Ginn.
3.5? He can run from end zone to endzone in like 8 sec.
