RUMOR: Beck cut??

Just read it on PFT Check it out !!! Looks like there was no trade value for him still waiting for offical word but if its true its just more wasted draft picks by previous regimes. Even if this regime doesn't bring us to the Playoffs i hope they at least bring in some quality players through the draft unlike everyone else since Jimmy.

The Dolphins PR people are not denying it.

UPDATE (12:20): The team’s PR [staff] neither confirms or denies. Heading out to Sparano’s press conference now. We’ll see if he says anything.

The Miami Herald vehemently disputes a report that John Beck is on the verge of being released.

Beck practiced Thursday morning and readied himself for the afternoon practice afterwards. He may see no snaps in Saturday’s preseason game if he’s still on the roster. Chad Pennington and Chad Henne figure to play extensively.

Sporano...

discounted the rumor…he’ll practice this afternoon. He also threw in a comment recognizing the rumor mill dust storm in S.Fl. The real question is will Beck practice tomorrow.

well we need to get ready for next year

The reason that i say that is cuz everybody nows that theres a 1/100 chance the dolphins make it to the playoffs this year,Theres just to much trouble and are division is just to hard……so what we need to do is save sme money and get a bunch of draft choices for next year..Also try to ge sme play makers in free agency,So that we can be the first in line..All im saying for this year that we can be a respectful team play though and not make mistakes or turnovers…Also try to have a great speacil teams,Fix up are defense to be solid………

the money is not the point...

we have a an alloted amount that we have to spend and if im not mistaken we still might be under that like 102 mil give/take. but if your saying save money in not going out and signing high price FA (see calvin pace) then you are right. as stated none of are expecting a playoff team this year 8-8 would be like going to the super bowl for us. next year we maybe can make a run at some players i just dont want to get the a.samuels or overpriced players. i want a young tough TEAM and hopefully thats what PIS is building us.

as for beck being cut does it really matter at this point. obv penny is gonna start and if/when he gets injured they will through it to henne (atleast he is being prepared to play unlike beck so maybe he will have a shot).i like the guy but obviously its not gonna work here im miami for him. btw thats 2 jerseys ive purchased (welker,beck) nice choices huh.
