Just gonna speak a little bit on my mind

Now i fell that bill parcells and this organization are going the right way and also with the right attitute and that is no lie to nobody......But ifell there is some choices that are realy gonna be qustioable in the future........ 1). Letting go or lorenzo booker was just a horrible desion i believe,On top of that he was cheap and we spent a 2nd round pick on the guy,We trade him for a 3rd rounder...He was one of the players that realy stood out to me last year,His speed moves quickness and hands He could of been used for alot of different things on this team.....But bill let him go cuz he wasnt big and strong enough to be on our team....Well ill tell you this there ant gonna be no plyer that you can get in the 3rd round thats better then this guy................. 2). Getting wilford,all the guy realy has is size,his hands are bad he just isnt a good reciver,Thats why jaguars let the guy go and of course we pick him....The only reason the guy is on our team is cause he fits bills style of play,Is a big strong reciver....We were better of not grtting him and keeping lorenzo booker and with the 2 draft picks we waisted on running backs use that to pick up to recivers for are team......... 3).The players that we had a chance to get in the free agency and we just let them slipe by,Like allen fanca and damin woody,that the jets spent big money to get....I like the fact that we upgrade the o and d-line alot,But i just fell that it wasnt just enough,We shoulda atleast get another big name at the guard spot that we are realy weak at,Instaed of spending of spending money and space on guys like wilford to be on are team................................

I believe we spent a 3rd round pick on Booker and received a 4th round pick.

used a 3rd for him and then traded him for a 4th…. (murphy) but i can’t remember if they traded down here….

1) Booker was drafted in the 3rd and we got a 4th for him..we traded a 4th in the same draft to the Cowboys for Fasano and Adoyele so really we got those 2 cowboys players for Booker. Think about it…we have Ricky and Ronnie…when would he really play? He isnt a special teams guy…i went to FSU during his time there so i of all people hated it..but it turned out good for us. Booker is a lil more look than performace..he looks like the best rb of all time..but he dissappears. He never had a 1000 yrd season at FSU…he will be good…but we didnt need him

2)Wilford…its early. he isnt gonna be a t.o. kinda reciever even though he looks like him…i dunno what we payed him exactly but it wasnt crazy amounts…we will cut him when we have something better.

3)Those free agents are for teams that wanna win now…we need to build. a Fanaca will be a grandpa by the time we are solid. those guys are a lil overated to. We have money in Long and Thomas is cheap..in a few yrs those could be great guys.

Booker is flashy and fast, but not the type of back SIP wanted as part of their rebuilding. His blocking wasn’t particularly good and definitely not an everyday player.

Booker for Adoyele & Fasano is a good deal for us – at least potentially.

Wilford has admittedly, well, sucked. Still it is just preseason for now and he’s a vet. If he doesn’t play better though it will be a big disappointment because he’s getting a fairly big contract, including some guaranteed money..

The Jets? Seriously, that is a disaster waiting to happen believe me. With Favre in the mix it is almost guaranteed….........new team, new city, new conference, no more fawning media, no more brett can do no wrong fans, oh yeah, and a whole new system, new receivers….

Just wait till he has a bad game with say 3 picks, which he always has a couple such games. When the NY media rips him and the jets get run over in NE you’ll see how it falls apart real fast.

I’ll even say that if healthy, big key, I think Pennington is a much better fit for Miami now, than Favre is for the jets.

they traded the dolphins own pick to the cowboys…. they traded booker for philly’s 4 (can’t remember if they then moved down here or not) but they took murphy with the pick….

but I have to agree with everyone here. I was/am pretty upset about the loss of booker since he was one of the few guys the dolphins had with any elusiveness, and we’ll likely regret the trade in a couple years…. that said its hard to fault a rebuilding team from trading a back up running back who was in now way able to play any special team spot. it’s hard to justify keeping a luxury player around like booker when there are no other places for him to contribute. on top of that it’s better for the team to move a player who likely wouldnt suit up on sundays and use that roster spot for someone who will….

now as to wilford? who else where they going to get to catch the ball…. marty booker was a free agent at the time??? look its going to be a long rebuilding process, and they’ll be lucky to win eight NEXT SEASON, so you have to do things in steps. and you have to protect your cap room, so that when you are close, you can spend the money on the free agent who fits your need.

but before you rail on the admin, take a look at this draft… 3 OL, 2 DL, 1 QB when was the last admin that focused on the real needs of this team… heck by all accounts 5 of those six will be starters before the end of the year… These guys know what they are doing and we all just need to take a deep breath and understand that the goal is 2010 not 2008 with these guys.
