Brining in another QB?
http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-1-71/Report--Dolphins-to-work-out-Quincy-Carter.html
perhaps people who are j"umping the gun" on saying the QB's are looking bad are correct. If we're looking to bring in Quincy Carter there must be something that Sparano and company do not like.

Don't
tell me this is true! How BAD are we???He was in the CFL and maybe headed to Arena ball!

So what?
Ricky was in the CFL too and look at how he’s performing. They both left the NFL for failed drug tests due to marijuana. Our quarterbacks just aren’t performing so why not give this guy a play?

Carter's past drug history
is not a problem with me, much like Ricky’s.
The history I do care about is his on-field, football history which is unimpressive (at best). He just wasn’t a particularly good QB – ever.
Seriously, I’d rather bring in Brett Favre (which won’t happen), but just for argument’s sake, I’d rather have Brett than Carter.

I'd love Favre,
but I don’t see any drawbacks to trying out Carter. If he’s better than McCown, why not play him? If he’s not, cut him.

sounds like beck is done
and they want someone to back up mccown, until henne is ready?

This would be nightmarish.
Because it would mean our coaches have no faith in our QBs and we would be messing around with a no-hoper. Please let this be some kind of sick Bill Parcell’s ploy to motivate our QBs and not an actual possibility.

I wouldn't mind
...if he was coming off a season like in 2003. But seriously, a guy who hasn’t played in four years? This has to be a joke, or at least that is what I’m hoping.

Ouch...
is all I can say. Are we that desperate? I might barf up my cocoa pebbles, give me a sec…

I don't think it's a matter of desperation.
I think we’ll do fine with a mediocre QB, but Parcell’s does not like to do just “fine”. He’s going to comb the free agents for any QB that could be even slightly better than McCown. Parcell’s doesn’t rebuild… he turns around in a season. Examples include: Patriots, Jets, Cowboys.
