Eagles Looking to Trade Andrews?

Eagles veteran OG Shawn Andrews has not shown up for training camp yet.  The team says he isn't holding out but his absence is unexcused.  Pro Football Talk has posted a report from Philadelphia radio station WIP that the Eagles may consider trading Andrews, for whatever reason.  With only one position unclaimed along our offensive line and with Andrews being arguably one of the best interior linemen in the game, would you be willing to trade our recently acquired 2nd round pick from the Redskins and probably a 4th or 5th rounder to get Andrews?  This isn't a temporary fix.  Andrews is only 25 and the Dolphins were strongly considering him in the 2004 draft before the Eagles traded up to grab him.  We took Vernon Carey later.  A line of Long, Smiley, Satelel, Andrews, and Carey could end up being one of the best line sin the game...and together for the next 5 or 6 years.  His current contract runs through 2015.  Thoughts on this?  While it is unlikely, I don't think I'd hesitate to grab him for a 2nd and 4th rounder.

2004 draft

i remember being pissed when Philly jumped ahead of us in that draft to select Andrews. then wanny panicked and made a trade with minnesota to get V. Carey.

it would probably take more than a 2nd rounder...

...for the Dolphins to get Andrews. And I don’t think an extra 4th or 5th rounder would do it.

depends on why they are trading him.

if he is really holding out and causing them problems, a 2nd might do it.

lets get this guy

We we got wo 2nd rounder why dont we give one of those up for andrews..So its like trading jason taylor for andrews so that sounds great for me…..Just think how good are team would be if we get andrews and glenn..Then we also get the reciever from texas texas tech..Thats would be a scary offense and it would also help are qbs alot more that well also give ronnie brown alot more space to run around….......
