Play Beck & McCown at the Same Time!

Um, not exactly but there is an amusing article on a rather innovative offense that a high school team has come up with.

You can probably guess by the title of this post that this new offense actually uses two QB's - at the same time.

As with a lot of college/high school type offenses, it probably wouldn't work in the pro's with any regularity. However it is entertaining to see it on video.

The A-11 offense

not sure it would ever work in the NFL due to the speed of the pass rush. It’s forcing the center and two “tight ends” to block man to man on the DL. That’s not something NFL teams would want to do.

but with that said...

...it’s such an ingenious idea for the high school level, allowing less talented teams a better chance of competing against the big boys.

Not Going To Work In Pros, But...

Montana played 3rd quarters as a rookie. Marino was brought in for a series here and there and mop-up duties.

I think they should have done that with Beck last year. If Beck is a bust then I’d imagine you’ll see Henne later in the season coming in every now and then to bring him along.

Quinn took a couple of snaps last year when the Browns were up. Did decently too. :-(

Are you picking up what I'm putting down?

We’ve had a hard enough time finding just one good quarterback.
