Our "Needy" Spots
In my mind there is no way that the 2008 Miami Dolphins' roster is set. With that being said i do not want this year to be a complete rebuilding year where we simply play our young and inexpierenced guys to attempt to make them better football players; and with some decent players still available (or going to be made avalible) some moves are probably going to be made.
Wide Receiver-
Joe Horn: Has recently been demanding a trade, but theres not a huge market for a 36 year old disgruntled wide out. There are reports that the falcons are going to release in order to get their youngers players more playing time.
Matt Jones: Recently busted for drugs, the former 1st round pick seems destined to be released by the Jaguars. Would the Dolphins really take a chance on this character?
Chris Henry: Had his charges recently dropped which means he will most likley be reinstated in the near future. Another character issue but is certainly a good football player.
Eric Moulds- Could benefit our younger receivers due to his extensive experience, but not a whole lot else. The free agent has yet to be signed.
Look to the future (free agents 2009)
Roy Williams, Marques Colston, T.J. Whos Ya Mamma
Offensive Line-
LeCharles Bentley- The guys everyone is talking about, certainly could be a nice fit at guard if he managed to stay in shape and uninjured.
Kyle Turley- Ok, everyone knows this guy from taking his helmet off and beating his opponent with it, but he was cut by the chiefs after missing the entire 2007 season, another injury risk type player.
Max Starks- A former gator who most recently played with the Steelers. Was a solid back up and could be the same in Miami.
Look to the Future
Mark Tauscher, Mike Goff, Jordan Gross, Stacey Andrews
Defensive Backs-
Dominique Foxworth- Restricted Free agent of the Broncos, could add depth to a shallow defensive backfield.
Reynaldo Hill- See D. Foxworth.
Jonathan Zenon- Recently out of LSU, signed and cut by the Jets.
Look to the Future
Nnamdi Asomugha, Mike Brown, John Lynch, Deltha O'Neal, Darren Sharper
Linebackers-
Takeo Spikes- The two time pro bowler recently met with the lions however a deal is unlikely. If Jason Taylor does indeed leave then Spikes could add depth and leadership to a linebacking core that needs it.
Jeremiah Trotter- Another veteran who could step in and provide leadership should Jason be traded away. Personally i don't have a whole lot of faith in Charlie Anderson.
Junior Seau- Would not be a full time player but if utilized correctly could be beneficial to a young linebacker core.
Look to the Future-
James Farrior, Ray Lewis, Bart Scott, Terrell Suggs, Jonathan Vilma
So tell me what you guys think? Who would the best fits be and if any of them would actually happen. And it definitely seems as if the free agent class of 09 is going to be a monster.

Yeah Def. Darren Sharper
but i personally think signing a guy like Max Starks be great just because the lack of depth at Tackle. He did a great job with the Steelers their championship year.
hmmm
Sharper is too old at this point. I really like Sharper and think hes a great player but I hope that Jason Allen and Yeremiah Bell will be our saftey’s at least a couple more years.
As far as current free agents the only guys that intrigue me are Lecharles Bentley, Max Starks ( I didnt know he was a FA…), Jeremiah Trotter and possibly Takeo Spikes. I think Trotter being such a big guy and being able to shed blocks would make him a good ILB in our 3-4.
Its too hard to tell right now which future FA’s will be available and I dont expect any of them to be. The only guys I can see becoming FA’s are Roy Williams, Nnamdi Asomugha, and either Ray Lewis, Bart Scott, or Terell Suggs. Roy Williams because the lions were starting to shop him already but denied they would trade him. If they are smart they should keep him because Williams and Calvin Johnson would make a great duo. Asomugha could be let go because they just got Deangelo Hall and may not be able to afford him after having Russell and Macfadden signed with huge contracts. There is no way the ravens can afford to keep ray lewis, bart scott, and terell suggs. At most they keep 2 but I think the most likely to leave is going to be ray lewis. Ray has been declining over the years and cant seem to stay healthy.
lol

How i see it were fine in some spots
I fell that now how thing are after the trade,The best thing we can do is play the 4-3 and so that next year with that second round pick we can go line backer…....So that we can play 3-4 in the future but as of next year. The best thing again is play the 4-3 and get another corner for us that can start,So we can have atleast an average defense….......On are offense we can get bently And after that get eaitha a tightend or a wide receveir….But the problem that we got is that we got depth on alot of postions,But we dont have any playmakers or guys that stand out or that are number 1 guys….The postions we have those problems on are,Corner, safty,qb,tightend,d and o-line we dont have that yet and thats cuz were young in those areas and the same with the recevier spot…....Thats a problem we need to address in the draft.Cuz the free agency we might be able to pick a guy or 2 like that but the price is normally to high..Theres just to much to risk…...So thats why we need to addres that in the draft….............
