Dolphins searching for Oline options

http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2008/06/dolphins-search.html

Interesting blog by Omar over at the SS.  He has an interview transcript with Dolphins Oline coach, Mike Maser.  Omar talks about the curent options for RG, including a little bit about LeCharles Bentley.

"All this uncertainty has the Dolphins looking into former Browns center LeCharles Bentley to possibly fill that glaring starter vacancy. From what league insiders are saying the Dolphins and Rams have the most need for Bentley, who likely won't come super cheap, especially to play for a bottom dweller. But is Bentley the quick fix this team needs?"

I was less concerned about the Oline until I read the breakdown of the guys we have to work with at the RG spot today.  I makes me believe that we will definitely bring in another veteran.  If not Bentley, someone else from the TC cuts.

Do you think it is a large cause for concern, or do you think that we can pretty much plug any guy in there at RG (or LG, depending on where they put Smiley) and run the ball for 100yds/game?

Nice Article

Gives insight into the developmental level of the rookies.
I am rooting for Shawn Murphy.
He’ll probably struggle at first, but will be just barely good enough to start.
He is a quick study and by the end of the year, I think we will see that we got a real talent there.
If he’s not ready, I am intrigued by Ike Ndukwe.
It would be nice to have him and Vernon Carey on the right side going
6-4 338 and 6-5 335. Might as well run it on third and 5 over the right side.

I like Lecharles Bently

The guy is realy good and hes also young,You can also say that hes somethan speacil when hes healthy. But injury does play a major factor here,So thats why i wouldnt dump to much money on this guy.We should sign him on like a 4 year deal,Then put him to start at guard on are starting line up…..I fell with are team next year we should rotate alot lilke the patriots do with there linebackers so that there always fresh and ready to go.That also prevents injurys cuz you dont have a realy tired player out there just getten pounded.I fell that a full average player is better than a half way super star,So what that means is that we dont need jt and jp out there killen them selves play after play just cause there our super stars. We need to give them rest at times and let the rookies out there and do what they do….......

I think that is just because he is out of shape from sitting out the year

Put him in the Tuna Helper weight loss program…. he’ll get faster quick. :)
