Dolphins RBs: Destined Duds...
Atleast according to ESPN.com's Jeremy Green. In this article (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insider/columns/story?columnist=green_jeremy&id=3422857), Green describes which RB duos he likes and which he doesn't. Apparently, he's not too impressed with the Ronnie and Ricky:
Miami's Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams
It is hard to grasp why the Miami Dolphins showed no interest in rookie RB Darren McFadden, who clearly was the best player in the 2008 NFL draft. On paper it appears the Dolphins have a RB duo, but the reality is there isn't a stable force as the lead back on this team. Brown is coming off an ACL injury, and Williams is aloof and can't be trusted. Miami wants to have a physical, grind-it-out run offense, but it's hard to count on Brown and Williams to do that. The Dolphins are hoping one back comes through. Two would be a bonus.
What do you guys think?

While Ronnie and Ricky both have problems...
...Darren McFadden clearly wouldn’t have been the answer. He’s doesn’t have great lower leg strength and he has his own maturity issues. Jake Long was definitely the best pick for helping our running game. I think Ricky will have more of an impact this year than Ronnie. I may be too optimistic but I think he will be ready to play like he did in 2002. He’s back up to that size and in great shape. He played well last time he split carries with Ronnie in 2005 and back then he only weighed 195lb. Jeremy Green is an idiot.
Jake Long better pick than McFadden
Jake Long will help Ronnie, Ricky and the rest of the O-line.

I don't think we know what we got yet.
The only facts we have is that we got a total of 8 games between the two of them last year.
I’ve been saying this for weeks: If both can play at least 14 games a piece next year, we should have a heck of a running game and win 7 games. If they are both injury prone and miss a lot of games between them, we’re in big trouble.
Darren McFadden
was CLEARLY the best player in the draft? Wonder if Jeremy Green can even name an OLinemen or DTackle.

Jeremy Green is not good at evaluating talent.
I’m not entirely sure why he’s a talent evaluator for ESPN, other than his dad being a former head coach, but gathering the talent for consecutive double digit losing seasons at the Cleveland Browns is the high point of his resume. There’s an interesting article on PFT (which is dubious, but hey why not), about how he’s been denied any sort of NFL scouting job after the Cleveland fiasco.
If the evaluation duo of Jeff Ireland and Bill Parcells preferred Jake Long to Darren McFadden, and didn’t see the need to draft a potential starter in a draft deep with running backs, then we’re fine.
Ricky & Ronnie
I think Ricky will be ready to prove himself again!
Ronnie ( I hope ) will be up to speed by the third regular season game.
THE FINS WILL BE ONE OF THE TOP FIVE RUNNING TEAMS THIS
YEAR!!
