Dolphins begin contract talks with Kendall Langford
You have to love how this front office continues to move forward and work towards getting all their guys in camp on time. And for some reason, I have a gut feeling that tells me Langford is going to make a bigger impact (both short term and long term) than 2nd round pick Phillip Merling. Call me crazy, but my gut has been right in the past (Jason Allen being a disappointment comes to mind right away).

Hell yeah
This guy is a true 3-4 end. He’ll have good coaches to help him transition from small school to the pros. I really can’t wait to watch our defense next year!

He may have a bigger impact..
but Merling will still have an impact, the guy is a beast. Our starting DL will be sick in a couple years when Starks becomes a solid NT and Merling and Langford are at the DE spots.

The OL & DL taking form
What I see happening is the beginning of a championship team. Don’t be surprised if next year we draft more early linemen to fill any weakness discovered this year. Then they’ll concentrate on DB’s. Skill players are a dime a dozen.
Ps.
Bess will be a started by year end.

Bess a starter?
I think that’s a reach. An undrafted free agent isn’t going to beat out Ginn or Wilford; at least not in year 1.

Maybe not a "starter" so to speak
but what about as the slot man? Does that count as starting? I think he’ll win the job behind Wilford and Ginn and we’ll see him on the field for a good amount of plays.
