Chad Henne
Why or why won't he become the starting QB for the Dolphins in 2008? Do you think he has a legitimate shot at the starting job? (Now with ol' Trent out of the picture.) I am a big U of Michigan football fan, so I will be watching the Phins a lot this year, with both Chad and Jake Long going to Miami. Let's turn this thing around, Go Dolphins and Go BLUE.

Henne won't be starter
because more than anything, he’ll have two guys in front of him with more experience. Not to say he won’t get his shot if those guys falter, but I don’t see him getting significant playing time in ‘08. I think a lot will have to do with how he practices. If Beck and McCown kind muddle through ‘08, and Parcells & Co. like what they see out of Henne, he could get a real shot at the starter’s job in ‘09, in my opinion.

it all comes down to the...
o-line…if they can give beck (my favorite to start and run the team) we will be fine. We will be able to open holes to ronnie/ricky and we will be able to pass protect and give beck time to pick apart defenses (he is very capable to do that).
if our o-line doesnt jel—> then we are in real trouble…
all depends on the o-line. If jake long is solid then we will be fine. How many people can get through the RG in a play?...

Henne
Well I don’t know much about him but his College stats don’t make me all warm and fuzzy. Never more than a 60% comp. ratio (he started there and never got better), 196 batted down balls, he fumbled 20+ times, and threw alot of INTs. Has he reached his ceiling? I’m glad to see John get compition but I sure would have liked to have that extra second used for our defensive backfield.
Saying all that now that Chad’s a Dolphin I hope he turns out to be good.
