Was There More to UofM Draftees?

Although the picks of Jake and Chad make logical football sense, did anyone realize that the newest co-owner of the Dolphins, Steve Ross, is a huge supporter of his alma mater?  In fact the with his rather large donations, the University of Michigan Business School was recently renamed the Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

I guess it could be worse, we could be picking only Arkansas players, a la Jerry Jones in Big D.

Hahahaha, that's a good point.

Some people try to find things in this game that don't exist but football is only two things - blocking and tackling. ~Vince Lombardi

Gotta make the man with the $$$ happy

But in all seriousness, I don’t think this regime would reach for a player because of their owner’s relationship with a school. Jake Long was the best pick at #1 and Henne at #57 was great value.
