good post
this is something we’ll really get into as training camp approaches, but I’d say the below are my issues with your predictions:
1. I think Vonnie Holliday stays in Miami and starts at one of the DE spots (though a lot of guys will see action as part of a rotation).
2. I think Crowder remains a starter to start the season – but could be replaced if he struggles.
3. I think Derek Hagan gets one more year. He wasn’t that bad and I don’t see two UDFAs making the final roster. I could see one one of the two (Bess or Foster) making the final roster with the other on the practice squad.
Oh, and I think Beck wins the starting job over McCown while Henne sits for the season to get acclimated to the NFL.

Great Input: All good points.
By the way, I need to say “outstanding job with this site!”
I look forward to seeing the interesting articles and topics each week.
Well done!
Now to comments:
1. Who do you see Holliday replace? Dotson to the practice squad? I could see that.
2. Is Crowder fully recovered from his injuries? If not, I think he works his way into the starting lineup. It is going to be an interesting competition for sure. The depth doesn’t hurt either.
3. Bess and Foster have extremely different skill sets. I look at Bess as the Anti-Hagan. Small, but he catches the ball and he has Wayne Chrebet – toughness. I think he beats out Hagan. Is Hagan any good on special teams?
4. QB competition is going to be FUN to watch.

agree with Matty
everything he says is correct… (holliday may go at the trade deadline, but he’ll start if he is in shape and healthy)
plus there is no way they keep 2 FB teams barely keep one these days plus I expect Ronnie to start the season on the PUP and see rayder as the K

Nice Job
I agree completely with McCown starting. I hope we’re wrong, but I think he’ll be the best man.
Vonnie will play and I think Starks will play all along the line instead of just as a NT.
Toribio could seriously push Starks & Co for the right to rotate along the line. He seems like he’s got a great heart and work ethic.
Lex Hilliard. Man, what a badass. Hope he can pack on 10lbs and not lose a step.
Kicker… Man I hope Bill P. isn’t his stubborn self when it comes to the kicker. How awful it is to watch the kicker miss 38 yarders. Bill always finds the guy who’ll miss from 38. Always.

I agree Matty, except...
I would like to see Hagen replaced by Bess/Foster. While I don’t think it will happen, I would be good with that.

Crowder....
Channing Crowder may have been injured a lot of last season but he was an animal while he was there. I dont think that theres a chance that he doesnt start

idk but....
i dont see josh mcown beating out both john beck and chad henne….the two 2nd round picks are just way to athletic and composed to be beaten out…the reason why dolphins didnt go out to get another qb or pick out a quinn gray (a potential pro …imop) is that we just needed someone who will support or step in if needed. He is not the future…he is a backup role.
People dont give john beck credit for his arm…hell i think its stronger then henne’s….(really i do)....last year scoutin reports they are like hes super accurate but doesnt have the strength…

take a quick look…
Chad henne is someone that parcells likes. If its not john beck (which i pray to god it is ….because his character and personality are off the charts —>

In short—> John beck = future
Chad henne = idc bout him
Josh McCown = daunte cullpepper’s butt buddy
Dan Marino = god
FinsXfactor = wisest person on thephinsider
Matty = idiot for liking baseball (in particular the cardinals)
lol im just having fun now

A few missing?
No Mauia at FB? Both Martin and Peele gone at TE? Matt Roth gone? Feely gone? Glad this is “tentative”.

I hope they find a way to cut David Martin twice on the same day.
He’s the worst. Unless your last name is Foote and you play for the Steelers and like sacking John Beck (ruining his first real chance at gaining confidence) at a backbreaking point in a Monday Night Football game so that this Dolphins fan has to suffer the slings and arrows of a room full of terrible towel waving idiots.
Sorry. That was an emotional night for me.
