he does look tiny.. I bet EA is pissssed that so many OL went in the first round. The main reason people buy the new version every year is for the new rosters and rookies, and now what is it? 8? first round picks were OL? The Panthers are gonna be real popular next season with so many people waiting to play with Jeff Otah lol.

Favre and Ratings.

Knowing the NFL, they’ll probably make it so Brett Favre will be an unlock-able player for every team. Though, I think it’s pretty cool that he got to be the cover boy (perhaps geezer is more appropriate?) this year.

I can’t wait to see what kind of ratings EA gives to our players this year. Over/under a 90 overall for Jake Long?

yep

I would say bout 84/85 overall with a mid 80’s pass block and a mid 90’s run block and strength, but awareness will be in the low 80’s cuz he’s a rook

This reminds me of how pumped I was last year to play as Miami...

...and use Ted Ginn. I couldn’t wait to see his ratings. And then I saw the 98 speed and 99 acceleration!!

If only real NFL seasons worked out the way Madden ones did sometimes. I mean, I remember turning A.J. Feeley into a perennial Pro-Bowl QB back in Madden 05! Ricky never retired! When in doubt, restart a game!

Yah, when I played a normal Franchise Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas were the first to go.

Eventually I found Tom Brady in FA and picked him up, traded him away for more.

A little bit ridiculous.

The goods news is that they are allowing Online leagues, I don’t know if they will extend beyond 1 year though. I really hope they fix a lot of the problems in online gameplay. QBs scrambling back for 20 yards then chucking a ball down the field every play.

I’m not at all excited about 09 as I am about Head Coach 09.

Fantasy Draft

I picked Carson Palmer in the 1st round, the second season second game he goes down with another leg injury out for the season. My back up is Chris Redman and my RB is Peterson. Didn’t lose a game. Sure, I did only draft O-line the first few rounds so AP was getting 2-3 TDs a game (on All-Pro) and 6-7 yds per carry. Championship teams are built in the trenches.
