I have been fortunate enough to sit down and have a meeting with both my 9 year old daughter Faith and my 7 year old daughter Shayley...good news they both think we are still going to draft Jake Long.

Another idea

How i see it this year we just were horrible and next year were not gonna be in the playoffs eaitha.So i say for once lets just fix up that o-line already and do whateva we have to do to have a solid line.Cuz we have the weapons on offense to actually do somethean and finally have a good o-line coach...........

weapons?

i dont think we have the weapons to do much on offense. As of now the only player the D is scared of is Ronnie Brown and he is coming off a bad injury. No WR that scares anyone, Ginn only with his deep speed but far from being a polished receiver and no TE, Beck is not scaring anyone especially after the games he started last year and how awful he looked (I do though think he will show major improvement this year) I do though totally agree that we need to start with the trenches and draft Jake Long, because then we will have Carey on the right side with Smiley and the only hole left will be a LG,

I think we will have more weapons than Ronnie though. Booker will get more PT this season and he is dangerous in the open field. Ginn should improve, and he's too fast not to warrant attention from the defense. Look at what Hester can do in single coverage he just runs by people. I'm with you on building the trenches and I think 2 of first day picks should be OL. I would love to see Rachal drop to us at 57.

I just hope all the smoke screening and posturing and BSing is over with and we will just sign JL.

I agree

about booker... it was pretty clear to everyone except Cam that he was a playmaker. why Cam didn't feature him the last 3 weeks is beyond me, but then that's not our problem anymore.....

Now as to Ginn, we can all keep our fingers crossed, but my guess is the guy will end up as a third wr, running posts... and we'll have to wait until after the draft to get a good idea if BP and co think this is true, but there have been a couple reports that miami will target a WR in round 2 (maybe even #32 - M Kelly) seems to indicate that the new management isn't sold on the ginn family being the future.
