Chatman bolts

Well some sad news guys. Looks like Jesse Chatman has jumed ship and to the Jets no less. Here's the article from ProFootballTalk.com:

"The New York Jets have made yet another move.

According to the Palm Beach Post, the Jets have signed running back Jesse Chatman, formerly of the Dolphins.

Chatman has signed a one-year deal to play with the Jets.  Financial terms weren't disclosed.

In 2007, Chatman had a career-high 515 yards in 14 games.  He had six starts -- the only starts of his career."

I'm kinda disapointed that we didn't resign him. but then again we do have Ricky back and I'm freakin in love with Booker.

Sorry to see him go.
Especially to the Jets.

Let me take this opportunity to launch a riot of unwarranted speculation that this means we're drafting Darren McFadden #1.

I dont think so
We have too many other needs. And besides, as many teams have shown (cough denver cough) you can get good production out of an average back if you have a good air threat and o-line.

yawn
did they guy ever make a play that made you
say wow!!!! not really. the guy was an ok back up
nothing more/ nothing less. wish him well with the jets and i hope they feature him cause thats what I want to see... the jets starting roster full of backups and average players at best.

Great motor and great attitude.
He always played to the whistle.  Now that he's a Jet, I hope he eats himself back out of the league.

Go Dolphins.

good backup
I kind of liked Chatman as well...Didn't think he should have been on the field more than Brown to begin the season....but who knows Maybe that was the one thing Cameron did well was light a fire under Brown's ass!  regardless, Don't think he would have gotten much play behind ricky, ronnie, and booker this year

Cameron Sure Lit A Fire Under Booker's Ass...
...by sitting him those first 10 games. :) ~sarcasm off~

One thing I think we all learned about Cam Cameron last year, he was all about playing people he was comfortable with. I guess Cam being comfortable gave us "the best chance to win this game". Well, he was right once...wrong 15 times. As wise old friend used to tell me, "Even the blind dog finds the fire hydrant once in awhile."

LOL
the idea that Cam could light a fire under anyone's ask is rather hilarious! Although he did manage to piss of half the team with his elementary school - papa knows best approach.
