"Louisville QB Brohm quietly rising to the top"
Nice read by Carlos "Big C" Holmes, in the Dayton Daily News:

What caught my eye was this interesting tidbit of info:
"I was told by a reliable source within the Atlanta Falcons organization that Brohm is the highest-rated quarterback on their board. It was said that owner Arthur Blank has been sold on Brohm for quite sometime and feels that he would make the team's questionable receiving corps better due to his readiness."
Hmm, that sure throws a wet blanket on the theory of pumping up Matt Ryan for a trade with ATL if he's not even the first QB on their board.
Great read though.

I've never really
And that's the thing with Ryan - he's not this can't miss prospect (P. Manning) or sure-fire star (Carson Palmer) or physically gifted wonder kid(J. Russell). People question his accuracy (less than 60% cmp rate), his decision-making (19 INTs), as well as his arm. If these things weren't in question then you would not see a QB-needy team like Atlanta maybe angling for Brohm, etc.

So what do you think about a straight trade
I know we have trounced this discussion (Neo, and to some degree Matty feel that it is unacceptable to trade out of the top 10), but the draft landscape keeps ashiftin'.
I have said all along that the first pick is not a boon for us in this draft, because of the money we will pay to a guy who is unproven, and at a position that is deep.
Now that we have been through the Combine and started to see some reasonable mocks out there, I think it reinforces my argument that two later 1st round guys would be much more valuable to the team than any 1 guy at #1.
What do you think, based in how things are shaping up?
