RANDY MOSS??

Got a text message from a friend of mine that runs a similar web site but wishes to not be named that we are in play to sign Randy Moss. Now, I consider him to be a pretty credible source of information as he heard this tidbit out of a source in south Florida but I don't see it making a lot of sense without a clear-cut starter at QB but you never know I guess. He says that Tuna wants to avoid a media circus so it's being kept really quite. Has anybody else heard this rumor? How would everybody feel about adding Moss to the mix?

Obviously ecstatic if true.

However, 99% it isn't. Not that I'm comparing us to the Raiders, but we're certainly not too far off. I can't see why he'd want to come here barring an astronomical contract.

I agree.......

After further interrogation, it seems that this may be bad information anyhow. Sorry everybody! Moss may be great (really hard to say that about a patsy) but not a fit at all right now in Miami. It would be impossible to keep him happy and we've all seen what a disruption he can be when unhappy. But while we're talking about receivers, what happened with the talks of Keyshawn coming to Miami? I see him being a whole lot better fit to give Beck(hopefully) another target.

Just a guess, but...

I'd imagine that the Wilford signing has quashed the Keyshawn rumors. They're very similar receivers at this stage in Keyshawn's career.

I only care about.

Him signing anywhere but New ENGLAND! No Asante, no Moss, old LB's. Dante's a free agent and did K. Washington even line up last year at WR? Patriots will not be the same without moss, Stalworth, Samuel.. Please sign Moss anyone!

This reminds me of the CJ thing...

in that, why would such a talented player who is at the top of his position - want to play on this team? with this record? and why does anyone want to trade catching passes from Tom Brady (or Carson Palmer) and go to John Beck or McCown or some rookie we draft?

I can see a guy like Moss going to a playoff caliber team like Dallas with a good QB like Romo for instance. But miami?

Just don't see it, but maybe I'm way off on this one!

Moss in Miami? No way.

His next move will be to either stay in NE or possibly GB or Dallas. He wants a ring, plain and simple. (Won't get it here in the next 3 years or so) So, why come here??
