Dolphins sign Josh McCown
Adam Schefter is reporting that the Dolphins have signed QB Josh McCown to a 2 year deal, according to ProFootballTalk:
McCown started nine games for the Raiders last year, completing 58.4 percent of his passes and throwing 10 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He previously started 22 games for the Cardinals from 2003 to 2005, and he spent the 2006 season with the Lions, where his only regular-season playing time came at wide receiver.
So there's our veteran QB. Eh.
What do you all think?

Exactly...
Given the available FA's out there right now, not much to really sneeze about. Volek probably was the only other one worth looking at - unless we wanted to go back to the Daunte days...
At least you know what you are getting with him. Nothing outstanding, but someone who is "serviceable"...
Again though, given the FA pool - about the best you can hope for.

Updated roster????
WOW. Talk about revamping the team! Act fast though and don't wait - the best thing about this regime is it appears they know what and who they wanted, and they have gone after them and signed them in a hurry so as not to get in a bidding war or give other teams an opportunity to steal someone from under their noses.

I think it is a solid signing....
He also was ahead of Culpepper in the depth chart last year so at least of recent, he's better than Pep.
Really, what more can you want in a backup? If the guy was that much better, he'd be starting wouldn't he?

Yes, he has more interceptions then TD's, but look who he was playing with the Raiders. Also he is only really a backup to give Beck some competition. He comes cheap and we will probably draft a QB in the draft.
Just my take.
