Things to look for against Buffalo
Let's take a look at the matchups and tendencies to watch out for against the Bills:
1) Marshawn Lynch, and even Fred Jackson killed us in the 1st meeting. They are an impressive 1-2 punch. Last week, we struggled mightily with a physical Steven Jackson, and were able to catch our breath only when he left the game. Well this week, there won't be any easy spells because these guys are physical. I have memories of Fred Jackson carrying defenders for extra yardage in the 1st game. Specifically, let's look out for the screen pass. Buffalo excels at the screen and will look to use it often. Miami has taken some heat of late because of the lack of pass rush from our Defensive Line. I think our guys may tend to overpursue, and Buffalo will try to counter with the screen. Our linebackers better be ready for this.
2) Let's not forget that Buffalo has excellent Special Teams. While we have played well the past two games. we can't take Roscoe Parrish and Leodis McElvin lightly.
3) Look for Ricky Williams to get a larger workload this week. He's the kind of runner who plays well late in the year, and he's had some of his biggest games against Buffalo. Yes, Ricky's older now, and may not be able to handle 20 carries every game, but he sure can do it once in a while.
4) Ted Ginn has increasingly gotten better with every game, and don't think Buffalo forgot his 175 yard performance earlier this year. With Buffalo giving him more attention, I'm thinking Anthony Fasano may have a big game working one on one against Buffalo's linebackers.
