they are also interviewing Callahan. They’re going to interview almost everyone available in the next week or two………..so what? Speculation post.

one of the top guys in the rumor business for NFLN says that Cowher WILL NOT COACH IN 2009. He said it in ALL CAPS about 100 times on NFL Total Access earlier. I don’t doubt him, he’s rarely wrong when he latches on to something like that. Mike Shanahan is available after getting canned by Denver, so he’ll also soon be linked to the Jets. The media will link every single potential coaching candidate to every open job until something happens, then they can talk about how they knew all along.

The Browns tried to set up an interview with Cowher.
He told them he would NOT coach in 2009, and to please remove his name from consideration.
