Jets Implode after Fins thrashing, Mangini out, Favre Broken
I know we should all be looking forward to the B-More wild-card game right about now (and believe me I am), but can we just spend a few minutes more laughing at the state of the Jets?
Eliminated at home by their clearly superior rivals, led by the QB they ridiculously discarded, they now decide to complete the melt-down and fire their coach. Favre will almost certainly retire as well - he's having an MRI today and surely realizes that this is the end. This leaves Gag Green (thanks new york post!) without a coach or a QB.
Now I know many of us wished Favre and Mangini would stick around, because a guy who can reliably deliver your team three free INTs a game is hard to find, as is a coach who is able to get the least out of whoever he works with (see: Pennington). However I think we can revel a little bit in the fact that our young team looks set to dominate for years while they start over, adrift in a sea of confusion, media bile and mediocrity.
Well Jets, I am pleased that you seem to be so determined in upholding your tradition of 40+ years of losing. Just know that if you ever start struggling with that tradition, you can always count on us to help you out, we're right here. Unless, of course, we're in the playoffs. We'd love to beat you there, but it's kinda like a special party, and you're not invited.

I have no pity for those asswipes.
This is awesome… and probably another blunder by the Jets…
unless they get Cowher.
Whoever the next coach is has many problems to fix with this team… i said it yesterday, this puts them into rebuilding mode.

No Cowher
If he knows what’s good for him
Just sit next to greatness on the set on CBS, know your role and shut your mouth
