Nothing is ever easy, huh?
Many of you probably had heart attacks at some point during the game. Some probably lost faith.
But the Miami Dolphins are now just 1 win away from the AFC East title and the playoffs.
Chad Pennington is my hero. Ricky Williams, Ronnie Brown, and Patrick Cobbs make big plays. D-Bess is going to be a damn good player. And even Ted Ginn made some plays - including his 31 yard TD run.
And big props to both Anthony Fasano and David Martin. Our tight ends make plays!
Celebrate here in this thread. The usual posts will come later tonight.

I was not impressed with Thigpen AT ALL. All he does is just throw the ball up for grabs. That’s all he did all game was throw it up into double coverage and hope his gargantuan WR’s come down with it. For KC’s sake, I hope they don’t pin their future on him, becuase he’s really not that good.

I'm mixed about Mora but I'm leaning towards a positive feeling.
Mora, unlike Holmgren, will most likely open up the offense, because we are lacking creativity.
The direction of the team depends on how Tim Ruskell (GM) performs in the offseason. If there are no major offseason moves (fire John Marshall, the defensive coordinator, for example) then basically we’re going nowhere.
The Ravens and your Dolphins have shown that it is possible to turn a team around in 1 season. One problem I see is that there is nothing to hang my hat on with Seattle….offense, defense, special teams all are terrible. At least the Dolphins defense played respectably in some games last season.
I hope this team can win the NFC West in the next 2 years. I’m optimistic because of how the Cardinals have just tanked it though.

you don’t have a very tough climb to the top in the NFC West. What kind of additions are you looking for in the draft and FA? QB has to be near the top with Hasselbeck getting older and I don’t think Seneca Wallace is the long-term answer there…

Congratulations
I’m a Giants fan, but I’m also a football fan, and you guys are the best story in football right now. From 1 (OT) win last year to 10 and a win-and-you’re-in Week 17 this year is phenomenal.
On another note, my dad’s a big Jets fan, but Chad Pennington is one of his all-time favorite players, to the point where I don’t even know if he’d be that upset if you guys won next week. He’s been complaining about Favre all season haha. I really hope he wins the MVP Award, he’s been awesome this season

the funniest part of that game last year was how pretty much everyone in America outside of New England was rooting for us. I live in DC, where they normally hate the Giants, and everyone I saw for like the 2 weeks before and after the Super Bowl would wish me luck or congratulate me. It was strange, to say the least.
I’m happy the Dolphins are good, b/c it reminds me of when I was a kid, when the Dolphins were ALWAYS good…even if they did shave 10 years off my dad’s life (I think Marino’s fake spike/pass probably cost my dad 5 years by itself)

Every week it's a new guy
It’s unreal with this team. Last week, Haynos comes out of nowhere, and Martin shows up big. And the D was lights out.
This week, Pennington is a beast, and Fasano had a fuggin day. One day it’s Cobbs, next it’s Ricky, then Ronnie, then Ginn blows up, then Bess… who do you try and stop? Whoever you gameplan against, we just go elsewhere, and somebody else steps up that you didn’t expect.

They play hard every week, they have heart, they refuse to give up, they believe in themselves and …. My GOD…. What a great feeling to be a Dolphin fan right now. Man it is so awesome seeing the Phins on top of the East again where they belong and even better i will finally get to watch the game on tv next week because here in Iowa they have some sort of unspoken rule outlawing dolphins games on network Tv I suppose they are afraid that if the public ever saw a quality football team play the Bears,packers, and Vikings would have to fold up and move to canada. But of course with the media darling interception king going to N.Y. I get to choke down a dose of Jets every week now. So Im pretty much guaranteed a chance to watch the phins pick off favre a couple times next sunday
