'09 Draft - This time last year
This time last year, all we could talk about was the draft. Well, how great that we have meaningful games to talk about now. What's even better is that I think we have a boatload of picks in '09. I need some help - anyone know yet what we are looking at from those stellar trades the trifecta made before the season started (Taylor, McCown, and Daniels). Except for 2nd for Taylor, the 3 (we got another pick for Taylor) other picks were undisclosed or conditional I think
It just keeps getting better!
P.S. - After next week, gotta root real hard against those redskins - that pick could be higher than our original 2nd rounder...go figure!

it'll be a good draft for us I think
as of now, we have a total of 9 picks. One in each round except the 2nd, where we have 2, the 6th where we don’t have any, and the 7th where we have 3.
The Taylor trade gave us a 2nd this year and a 6th in 2010

elite reciever
i dont think we are going to be in position (unless we trade up) to get one of the elite recievers or dbs in the draft though.
Maclin
may fall into our range…

will we get more?
possible ways to get more:
trade beck in the offseason?
restrict Channing Crowder so a team has to give up a pick to sign him away from us?
trade ricky? (cobbs has proven to be capable)
Eh… I would think Beck has little to zero trade value. We could get a 6th or 7th for him like McCown.
I think Crowders agent is Rosenhaus, I could be wrong and be thinking of another player and I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t want an RFA deal.
Eh…I think Ricky would rather retire then be traded. Ronnie Brown is credited for bringing back his passion in football, so I think he would want to stay here.
agreed
We really don’t have any assets to deal away for draft picks… basically, anybody who’s expendable isn’t worth anything.
