You would think a team that was just 1-15 a season ago would still have many lingering weaknesses. They don't really have an explosive offense, aren't capable of blowing out teams, and their running game hasn't done too much recently. In true Parcellian fashion under Tony Sparano, they just do the little things to finish a point more ahead at the end -- protect the ball, score when they need to do, get a big defensive play when they need it. |

For the second consecutive week, I've lined up the Jets, Patriots and Dolphins right in a row, because I really don't know what else to do with the three-team tie atop the AFC East. Miami is a plucky bunch, but the 49ers did drive the ball up and down the field against the Dolphins, stopping only as they neared the goal line. |
