Hagan a Giant

Derek Hagan signed with the Giants yesterday. I know he never lived up to potential in Miami. How do you think he will do as a Giant? How will his career match up to Brandon London's, who was signed from the Giant's practice squad?

Good move from the Giants

They have a hole from the Burress situation. Hagan has experience in the league and is young and could still develop. Not a bad move. Don’t know if he will actually develop into anything magically for them, but it’s not a bad move.

Dude,

How can you say,

“Hagan has experience in the league and is young”

How can he have lots of experience and be young it’s sorta weird.

well think about it...

who is the most experienced person on our o-line? he’s what 27 years old? thats young but still experienced.

its like when you lost your v-ity…you may have been young…but after a while (still being young) you become experienced.

Same way you can say

That Boldin is experienced but young. Not comparing Hagan to Boldin, but I’m pretty sure you won’t argue that Boldin is both young and experienced.

Horn

Now they are looking at Joe, Hagan’s stay could be short.

Frequently wrong, but never in doubt.

Can't wait to hear the New York Media...

raving about him tearing up the practice facility…then disappearing in games.
He ought to emark on a career as an Illusionist.

There some players who are born for practice

but choke in real games, they are brilliant in practice where there is no pressure and the defence isn’t trying to kill you (well maybe bang you up a bit).
I’ve known people over here playing rugby (a bit like football but less pads) who’ve looked great in practice but in a proper game take a few hits and then play inside themselves, but back in practice look great again.
I think the same thing happens at the combine, players look great on paper but its those intangibles that really should overrule it and thats where a great Front Office comes into play.

FILE - In this Sept. 4, 2009 file photo, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill aims a pass downfield against the San Diego Chargers during the first quarter of an NFL preseason football game in San Diego. Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
