Power Rankings - Week 16

Another week of games has passed and it's Tuesday, so the various sports sites have released their Power Rankings and down below are a couple.

Star-divide

ESPN has Miami at 11 (having moved up one spot):

6 (8) Cowboys 9-5-0 Dallas scored a huge win over the Giants. Its defense has been superb and could be dangerous in the playoffs. (MM)
7 (7) Ravens 9-5-0 The Ravens missed out on a golden opportunity against Pittsburgh. Now they have to earn a postseason berth the hard way. (JW)
8 (11) Falcons 9-5-0 The victory over Tampa Bay assured the Falcons a winning season, but they want more than that. With games against Minnesota on the road and St. Louis at home, they might need the Bucs and Cowboys to stumble. (PY)
9 (10) Patriots 9-5-0 The Patriots refuse to go away and could jockey into a division title. (TG)
10 (6) Buccaneers 9-5-0 The Bucs remain very much in the playoff race with home games against the Chargers and Raiders. But those games can't be taken for granted, with injuries piling up and the Bucs on a two-game losing streak. (PY)
11 (12) Dolphins 9-5-0 The Dolphins keep winning and still control their destiny. (TG)

and Foxsports has Miami at 16 (having moved up two spots):

How are the Dolphins 9-5 you ask? A little smoke and mirrors for sure, but also plenty of smarts. Football intelligence means knowing your strengths and weaknesses -- so Chad Pennington is not long in the arm? Feature creative short-passing and use your two quality RBs to your advantage, which leads to better ball-control and fewer turnovers. The Dolphins have turned the ball over just 10 times thus far, an NFL record low over a season's first 14 games. COOL STAT: Miami has not allowed an offensive TD in three straight games for the first time since 1973. THIS WEEK: at Chiefs (2-12)

______

Can you believe that FoxSports has us at 16! That's ridiculous. Espn's rating is at least reasonable and when you see the breakdown of all the voters on Espn, Miami was as high as 7th or as low as 14th.. That makes a lot more sense.
