PrintThe NFL will announce the 2009 Pro Bowl rosters for both the AFC and NFC at around 4 pm EST. Use this thread to discuss what transpires.
As for predictions, I think that Joey Porter is a lock to make the team. Jake Long, despite winning the fan voting, could very well lose out and not be one of the 3 tackles to make it. He's on the bubble, though. Ronnie Brown came in 2nd in fan voting, but I just don't think he has the numbers to make the team this year. Thomas Jones and rookies Chris Johnson and Steve Slaton all have better numbers. LaDainian Tomlinson will also surly garner a lot of votes from coaches and players because of his past accomplishments.
And as far as Dan Carpenter goes, I'd be shocked to see him make the team. He won the fan vote because of the huge voting surge he received from Montana and other states around there. But do you really think coaches and players will vote him in as a rookie over some proven vets? I don't.
But we'll find out soon enough.
**UPDATE**
Ronnie Brown and Joey Porter are the two Dolphins who make the team. Congrats to both - especially to Ronnie!!!!! New post to come above in a few.

let the players and coaches decide. It was ridiculous what the Redskins did with their voting. Should be the best players, not the fan favorites.
