Around SBN: The Worst Team Ever Projected?

Chad Pennington:or Chad Henne?

The D-Phins are a growing team, and we all know that. They already have six times the number of wins as we did last year. That is true progress. We, as the Miami Dolphins fans, know last season was really a low point for everyone. No one was working hard on the team, because they didn't think it was worth it. But this season, the D-Phins made a concious effort to win some games this season, and potentially make the playoffs. But there always has been one position the Miami Dolphins have had trouble with. Quarterback. Since Dan Marino, they have had no good quarterbacks. And that was a big reason why the D-Phins went no where. But this season, we have a reason to be happy again. We have decent quarterbacks. Two of them in fact. And their names are Chad and Chad. God bless those two men. Without them, we would be no where AGAIN. I have got to say, Bill Parcells made the right choice when he signed Chad Pennington and drafted Chad Henne. One has experience from 10+ years in the NFL I think. One is fresh out of college with the Michagan Wolverines, ready to be a starter.

And now I turn this over to you. They are both fantastic quarterbacks in my opinion. At this moment, I want to ask you if you think Chad Pennington or Chad Henne should start for the D-Phins. Go ahead. Please comment.

I'm confused.........

You’re a Titan fan………but you write “We as the Miami Dolphin fans” and “we have a reason to be happy again” and “we have decent qb’s” ???

You can’t serve two masters bud. This is Phinsguy99 isn’t it?

I think I’ll worry about my team, and you worry about yours.

Phinsguy99?

HuskerDolphin,
In answer to your question I am not “Phinsguy99.” Yes, I am a Titans fan. I was born and raised in Tennessee. But I moved to South Florida 3 years ago, and have since became a Dolphins fan. I think you got the wrong idea when I said “born and raised in Tennessee.” I have season tickets, and I have the right to like two teams very highly. I root for them in the playoffs, and show respect for the Dolphins even though they are not my hometown team. Please do not say things on my posts if you are going to be rude to someone who is just trying to show support.

I type it slower so you understand........

You………..can’t………..serve…………..two………….masters.

Great that you respect us and all of that. My question to you is, and this will define how I respond to your post, when Miami and the Titans play each other……….who do you go for?

Good Question....

I would have to say D-Phins. I mean…..I love the Titans in so many ways….But I have gotten used to the style of life in South Florida…and I like it here now. The Titans are awesome and everything…but being part of the rebuilding of a great franchise is always something a fan wants to do. So, ultimately I would choose the Dolphins. I still love you Titans but it is time I move on….

LOL

for knowing your new team so well………you didn’t even know Camarillo was out for the year when making a post about using him in the wildcat. Not judgeing here, or at least trying too, but…..the bandwagon you’re on should be good enough right now, you only have one loss and look to be going deep into the playoffs if not the Super Bowl. Do you understand that?

??????

What are you trying to do? Are you intenionally TRYING to made me angry. No. I was not aware at the time yet that Greg Camarillo was injured. When I realized he had torn knee ligaments, it was already too late. So if you think I’m a bandwagon type of person…..you’re completely wrong. I love the Titans because I was BORN in Tennessee. I don’t just like them because of their current situation. STOP insinuating things PLEASE.

lol no problem

just make sure there is enough hay in the back of the wagon. I live in Nebraska, and I’m die hard Dolphin as the day is long. You lose faith in your team because you moved? Thats fairweather as it gets bud. Knock yourself out though, its your world, shape it the way you feel works best. Mine is stone, yours is more like silly putty

plenty of people switch teams when they move to a new town. He just may not be Die-hard, live eat breathe, fan. Not everybody lives and dies with a football team lol.

Relax a little bit

It’s not an attack at you, we just get alot of trolls around here that are fans of other teams trying to start arguments by pretending they’re Dolphins fans. Happens every week. So don’t take it personally, just trying to figure out if you’re a troll, or if you’re a true blue Dolphins fan.

Sorry

I’m new to this, so it makes me feel bad if I feel people are getting on to me.

In A Way....

HuskerDolphin,
In a way I feel you are wrong. I can like two teams, and many people do. If one makes it to the playoffs, you go for them. The other one makes it to the playoffs, you go for them. If they’re both in the playoffs, it really just comes down to who you are. But I like the Dolphins now, and I would like it if you got off my back.

no no no

you lessen your loyalty by spreading it around so cheaply. If you’re just “flavor of the month, or week, or day” then you never tasted loyalty IMO. Ya got no salt, lets leave it at that. Enjoy your posting

I still don’t know what you guys think. Who do you think should be starter:Chad Pennington or Chad Henne?

Shared Role?...

So…maybe a shared role would be the way for you? That sounds good to me… together, I think they would be consistent.

How can you say Henne is a fantastic quarterback?

He has only led one drive downfield in a professional game. Why start an unproven quarterback over a veteran who has led this organization in a complete turnaround?

I’m saying Henne is going to be good. I’m not saying Henne is going to be bad. I can’t even say if Henne will be in the league three years from now. I can’t say he isn’t the next Marino. No one can. He is completely unproven.

Pennington is and will be our starter as long as we are winning. Period. Henne will have to do a hell of a job either in pre-season or if Penny gets injured to take the job from him.

Pennington

Hands down. You can’t move to a rookie QB just because he has upside. He’s not ready. I know that Ryan and Flacco are having good years as rookies. But, two examples don’t out weigh the tendancy of a rookie QB getting detroyed and losing confidence. Just look at Beck.

You have to stay with the WINNING veteran as long as possible. Let Henne learn.

Chad Henne

I think Chad Pennington is not going to be starting very long. I think, at the most, he has two or three years left in the NFL. So for me, I would really like to see Chad Henne starting soon possibly.

Pennington

I’d like to see the Pennington-Henne situation play out like the Favre-Rodgers situation did in Green Bay. 2-3 years of Henne learning behind Pennington followed by Henne stepping in without missing a beat once Pennington leaves.

by Saxonthebeach on Nov 30, 2008 6:28 PM EST reply actions

Pennington

The reason why this team is winning is because of the leadership Pennington brings hands down. Henne will have his time, but for now in order for us to stay in the game, Pennington is the ansew.
