Henne playing time

Before I head out on my journey thru to eat as much food as possible and then try to be invisible I just wanted to bounce off a few "things" still left exposed in the left brain cell area.

Penny has been a welcome breath of fresh air..I was pretty "non convinced" he was the answer when we brought him aboard but since have opened my mind.  To me he has really played out of his element....which has been great BUT has left little playing time for Henne which leaves us all with unanswered questions regarding how consistant he may be. I know....what we have seen of him has been great and very stabile.....but?

I say as soon as we are sure making the playoffs is not possible (if it happens) We start getting in some playing time for him..I for one am wanting to see him play more.

Next...Cam out....I am sold on Bess..I like Brandon alot..but  Wilford should at least be activated and put on the field if we want to get ANY trade value at all from him..PLUS..he is huge..we may be surprised.

Last...talking next years draft......Just wanted to get some opinions on Phan feelings...Yes we know we have to address the "D" secondary....I love and watch alot of college ball...throw me some sleepers...hidden jewels that may be late round steals or small school deals.......

For all the high powered  emotions that have been put into text on the best fan website going..THE PHINSIDER.......two thing we can ALL agree on....#1 After last season this site has become an emotional outlet for alot of us..Happy Thanksgiving to all of you..and THANK YOU!

#2 We are supporting a MUCH IMPROVED TEAM...GO PHINS!

I'll skip the Henne question

because I’m really not sure how it will be handled, and there’s really no right or wrong way to do it. If he can play, whenever he gets his shot he’ll be fine. The more he can learn from Pennington, the better, but once he’s ready he will take that job if he has the ability.

As far as the draft, it’s looking like it may a deep 1st round for safeties, and we will probably get in on that. Taylor Mays, Will Moore, Nic Harris, just a few names that come off the top of my head, and I’m sure there’s a couple more I can’t come up with right now. If it’s not a DB, I’m fairly certain it will be another big OL/DL for depth. Ferguson is getting old, Holliday as well, and the OL is starving for quality depth. You build from within, so unless you can get a gamechanger in the secondary, you stick with the “build the foundation” plan.

Like the GMen

both lines dominate…..depth…everything else is an accesory to their kicking people asses and knocking them back 5 yards

Henne will get his shot

I think we should stick with Pennigton as long as possible. Look what happend to the Jets when they tried to through in there young starter a year ago over Pennington. Let henne learn how to be a pro and maybe we will benefit from it in a year or TWO.

About the draft I have to agree with Rzayo24 and Little Nicky 21 about beefing up the lines. Espcially on the Oline Takle position and the Nose Tackle. Can you imagine where we would be if J.Long was injured for the season last week or if J.Ferguson was lost for a couple of games. I also think we need another playmaking linebacker .. J-Peazy can’t do it all alone, this hopefully would also shore up the Secondary with the added pass rush. I think the loss of S.Merriman in San Diego shows what a difference a pass rush makes for the secondary.

We all though, we got screw and then BANG!! Porter is playing the season of his life! Maybe Wilford would do the same this weekend. Crossing my fingers ; )

Henne will get some pt

when the playoff hopes are totally out of the question. We need to see what we’ve got here. One thing I’m curious about, in the last couple of games, there have been situations where the Dolphins are 4th and long before the half. Why not put Henne in on those plays and see what he can do downfield? We know Pennington can’t throw the deep ball , so why not at least give the kid a try?
Befea……a question for you my man….Jets play the Broncos this week, is it a great time to suck up too the wife and possible say, although maybe gagging as you do it, “Go Bronco’s”?? : )

I was thinking of you yesterday when that corn fed kicker booted that 57 yarder to put Nebraska on top….bet you felt great!

LOL regarding the reply!

yea, I wrote this elsewhere on the blog, but that game was a 6 pack-er. 3 of which going down in the final few minutes. Still a work in progress, but man its wayyyyyyyyy better than last year. Sound familiar regarding our beloved Dolphins? Please tell me your wife doesn’t like CU….I’ll be sending away for Thai for you if thats the case, and the only thing she’ll say is “Yes” and “Go Big Red”. : )

Henne Playing Time

I really think at quarterback, we are good right now. We have a mentor role in Chad Pennington, who has really shown his real self this season, and an up and coming quarterback who might-just MIGHT- turn out to be a gem in a pile of hay. I mean look at it this way. There were a lot of quarterbacks the Dolphins could have gotten instead of Henne. But at the same time, it looks like we picked just the right one for this football team. I want to say just one more thing….DROP JOHN BECK!!!!

A couple was told to individually write a sentence using the words 'sex' and 'love.' The woman wrote 'When two people love each other very much, like Bob and I, it is morally acceptable for them to engage in sex.' And Bob wrote 'I love sex.'
