Read Ethan Skolnick's Blog where he posted one of his readers' (Joe W) recap of the Patriot game.
The idea was Samson Satele 6-3 300 underperformed at center and Andy Alleman 6-4 310 could do better at center due to better size/strength.
Here's my idea:
LT Jake Long (get well soon!) 6-7 310
LG Samson Satele (athletic for pulling and getting to the second level) 6-3 300
C Andy Alleman (more stout at the point of attack) 6-4 310
RG Justin Smiley 6-3 310 (played this position for SF and practiced also)
RT Vernon Carey 6-5 350
Most left guards are quicker guys who get overpowered anyway. Alleman and Smiley (helping at RG) could handle big NTs (like Kris Jenkins) better than Satele at C and Alleman helping at RG.
Anyway, your thoughts?
