Will Wilford Get a Shot?
I know this topic has been discussed on and off throughout the season and really was laid to rest not too long ago but now with Camarillo going down for the season, things change, a bit.
It appears likely that Davone Bess will take the vacant spot but there is the outside chance of either Brandon London or Ernest Wilford but realistically it'll be Bess at #2 and London at #3.
However, with that being said, will they finally re-activate Wilford and at least give him the smallest chance to make an impact at the #3 or #4 spot? I think that is the best Wilford could hope for and maybe get in on 3-5 plays. I don't see why they wouldn't at least give him a chance. When you think about it, what do they have to lose? The fourth spot and maybe throw a ball or two his way and who knows, maybe even contribute a little. Really, what other options do they have right now and is it really a big deal? Maybe just maybe, he'll show that he can still play at a decent level and make a few plays.
I really don't think there's any reason not to give him the slightest shot at the #3 or #4 spot and to throw a few balls his way. He's a fairly big and somewhat physical receiver who's been in the league a few years with some reasonable numbers.
What do you think?

plus he's big and strong
and can run block something their current receivers are pretty much inept at. (how many times have you seen ronnie or rickey make the corner and have the CB come up and meet him at the line)

Well....heres a quote from Tony Sparano
You don’t have to worry about motivating Ernest. Ernest is a tremendously motivated guy. He really is. He’s a tremendous pro. The guy comes to work every single day (and) wants get better at what he does, (and) does an outstanding job out there on the practice field. He has gotten an awful lot better since training camp. You can’t take all 53 (players) to the game. You’ve got to start thinking about jobs at the game. We can’t take players to the game that can only play X amount of plays and pigeon hole ourselves that way. We have to take guys to the game like Brandon London who can give us 20+ plays.

sheesh
other than your reserved tone, I have to agree with you 100%
Aleta – for the love of god, it’s only football and I hope and pray you are just using a little hyperbole, but after reading the nonsense that happens in soccer I sometimes wonder when people make such seriously offensive statements!
you do know that statement is really offensive right?

I think he'll see some PT.
he’ll be active as our 4th WR, unless the bring Armstrong and his 4.2 speed up from the Practice Squad and he takes Wilfords spot.. at which I will have completely given up all hope of Wilford ever contributing to this team in any way.

true
all hope is probably lost for EW already but heck, why not put him in the 4th spot because he’ll hardly get used anyways..i doubt he could hurt us…only give him an opportunity to surprise a few of us…maybe..not likely..but I’d like to see it
