Especially when our Miami Dolphins play a roll.
This new team has an identity and it has a coach who trust's his players. A coach who cares about his players. The time of rebuilding is over. This team is built and has been revamped from the floor up. The Miami Dolphins organization is just that once again. Organized. The guys at yahoo sports agree. Here's the way they see it weeks ahead mind you..

A little early
But it could be close. I do not agree the Jets will take the division. I think both the Pats and we are better than them. One of us will take it. And I think the Colts will get in ahead of us, the Pats, or the Jets.
I think the Bucs could take it to the Super Bowl. I think they will be motivated to play the Super Bowl in their home stadium.

I agree about the Jets winning the division
and I think a Dolphins win this week would really hurt NE’s playoff chances because they still have a couple tough games left.
I’m pretty confident that the Colts will win enough games to get in.

I only see one loss on their schedule...
…before that final game – and that’s this week at Tennessee. Maybe Denver’s offense could go off, but in the Meadowlands at 4 pm on a Sunday is tough for passing offenses.

funny side note. My Mom used to take oyster crackers, mix them with dill and other seasonings…they had a green tinge to them…so of course, as kids do….they became “soylent green crackers” pretty damn good actually…..and no people used in the process…

there is pretty much no chance that both the pats and the phins can make the playoffs and sunday is pretty much round one of the playoffs…

If we win the division…or finish in 6th place wildcard…its starting to really look like we will lay a team from our division in the 1st rd…and i like that. could be a easier pass into the 2nd rd..

it’s alright.. we can begin to look ahead, the players can’t. I’m really beginning to think we have a legit shot at the division. I don’t the Jets are that good (we lost on a fluke play, and we’re playing a hundred times better since then) And if we sweep NE, that’s it. Buffalo is slowly falling out of the picture. I think if we win the games we’re supposed, and beat the Jets in week 17, we’re in baby

I think we have first dibs
on the Division even if we lose to the Pats. The reason is the Jets do not play well on the west coast….never did, never will. They have two games out west with a Seatle team who is getting Healthier by the week and San Fran who is getting better each week ( remember the Raiders beat them out there this year) I see us beating the Jets-I see the Jets losing one of the two games on the west coast-I see the Broncos giving them a good game in NY and Tenn beating them this week. I see them having at least 3 more losses and If Favre goes back to being Favre Denver can beat them which would make 4 and a complete meltdown will occur in NY with the press going after any and everyone. (that would be fun to watch). With us I see us going 4-2 the rest of the way. If we beat NE we will lose against one of the 3 bad teams left on the schedule probably the one after the Pats and then we right the ship again and could possible only lose that game the rest of the way. If we lose to the Pats we prob lose the next game too before finishing the season on a 4 game winning streak. As long as our loses are not in the Division (except the Pats) we get in the playoffs. My prediction is the Jets will need to win the game against us to get in the playoffs. The bad part is it could cost us our spot in the playoffs because they would have the tie breaker advantage by sweeping us.

things will look much clearer in terms of making some divisional, wildcard and playoff picture predictions…
too many “if’s” based on this weekend’s game(s).. the suspense is killing me…
