Pennington Added to Injury Report
DAVIE, Fla. -- Quarterback Chad Pennington was added to the Miami Dolphins' injury report because of a sore foot, and he's listed as probable for Sunday's game against Oakland.
The Dolphins didn't elaborate on the injury Sunday or say or when it happened. Pennington ranks sixth in the NFL in passing and has led surprising Miami to a 5-4 record.
If Pennington can't play, rookie Chad Henne would make his first NFL start. He was taken in the second round of the April draft.

Perhaps we will get to see a bit of Henne on Sunday if Miami runs up the score early?

Dont think so
If Miami we’re 2-7 I’d say yes, but They’re not, and CP is pushing this team to an apparent playoff run. I don’t think we’ll be seeing Henne out there yet, blowout or not.
That's exactly the reason Henne would get in the game
If the dolphins are serious about a playoff run, then why risk further injury to your starting qb during a blowout.
IAMLEGEND
good point and I agree
lets just see how things go tomorrow though, regardless, I don’t think its any reason to hit the panic button yet. And, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Henne get some playing time tomorrow.

well not anyone
i could do with out cleo or trent or pepper or gus or ray or jay or Ajay or …..
but yeah, i’d rather that they were developing(by playing) a young QB while the team is being rebuilt rather then going with another caretaker until the team around him is good, and then start the QB project… GB looks to be a good case this season… a good team is suffering while a QB learns to play…
don’t care what anyone says, sitting a QB for 3 years doesn’t make it any more likely that the qb will succeed… the only way to know if your QB is any good is to play him for 2+ years… history in most cases says year 3 is the make or break year.

I WAS a little worried when I heard this.
Let’s face it; Pennington has brought his game. I’d hate to see him go down, and it doesn’t seem serious.
That being said, if it’s anywhere NEAR something that could be aggrivated, I wouldn’t hesitate, against the Raiders, to give Henne the nod. Let Penny heal just as we did Griese in ’72.
I liked all I’ve seen from Henne, and if things had been different (we hadn’t picked up Penny) ,I have no doubt he’d be the starter by now. He can pull it off. I hate to make predictions, but of that I have no doubt. He can pull it off.
better yet

SLAP
First, Woodley was a good dude who wasn’t a good QB and is now dead, so STFU.
Second, if you’re comparing Pennington to Woodley in ANY way, you have no clue, so again QED: STFU.
yikes - my apologies to all
Woodley was a good dude who wasn’t a good QB and is now dead
missed that…. when – what happend…
would not have made that remark, had I know…
intent was – woody came out and the young prospect kind of started for a few years with a little bit of success.

Sorry
Got a little touchy.
Well….Dave Woodley died of liver and kidney failure due to many years of alcohol abuse unfortunately. His wife says he didn’t take his failure in the NFL.
Can’t blame the Phins tho, he just wasn’t a very good QB.
yeah
once you brought it up … it sort of jogged some old nerve cells, that i sort of remember hearing about it…
just wasn’t in the forefront, otherwise i would have never brought it up.

where did this come from!??
How did CP10 just all so suddenly end up on the injury report!? Something happen last game?..or did he aggrivate it during practice? I really hope this isn’t anything to be concerned about or could linger.. it’s rather suspicious how this came about..
With that being said, lets hope the Phins do what they’re supposed to this bottom feeder team and put em away huge and early so Henne can come in and clean up.

two things
likely something happened in practice on friday -
and since there are rumors that Henne could start, coupled with the short history that the phins don’t really report injuries unless they are serious, it’s very likely that it is somewhat serious….
finally as an aside, what percentage of the guys that show up on the injury report end up IR’ed??? has to be in the 75% range right?

I just don't like it..
Something really bugs me about this injury.. now I’m gonna be sweating bullets right up ‘til gametime wondering what’s going to happen.. how serious is this? why now? could Henne start? Could Pennington start but be hobbled? or make it worse?
argh…
i bet he did something stupid like trip on a football or step on something on the practice field,etc.. probably something stupid and somewhat embarrasing and that’s why they won’t say…
