Fair weather fans?
Its never a bad thing to have more fans, its a simple as that. Dolphin fans may be fair weather fans, but its understandable. Ive always been mad at those fans who dont show up to games anymore because we suck. But now i realize its people just not wanting to see a poor product on the field. Dolfans may be fair weather fans, but we certainly are not bandwagon fans. WE ALL BLEED AQUA AND ORANGE and will for life.

Definitely not a fairweather fan
I think the difference is the people that really can’t go to games. I just don’t have the budget to attend games regularly, but when we’re successful, I find ways to get into the stadium. When it may not be worth the money or the trouble (last season) I’ll watch on tv. I think there’s alot of people like me who attend the games based on the “It’ll make me broke, but I gotta see them live” thought process. And those same people are the ones thinking “It’s too damn expensive to go watch them get their asses whooped.” Success breeds ticket sales.

I went thru 1 and 15
Anyone who calls me fair weather gets stabbed in the face with a soldering iron. I know what you’re saying though, sometimes it’s hard to root for your team when they are doing horrible. How do Lions fans do it every year?

bad ownership
the worst thing in the world woudl to bave a bad or crazy owner ala oak, det, or cincy. cause then, ther is no hope until the owner sells or dies.
I dont mind fairweather fans
as long as they go through the initiation. if you are a chick, you have to spend the weekend at my house. if you are a dude, you got to committ some vandalism against our AFC East foes.
or
if you’re a dude, you have to be finsxfactors little spoon

Obviously, it would be preferrable that all fans were dedicated and serious and “exclusive” but the world just doesn’t work like that. So we should take em however we can get em. I don’t necessarily like it all the time, especially when people bandwagon jump from team to team. But this is always a good indicator as to whether or not someone is a true diehard fan, when they still show their dedication to the team when they go through seasons like we did last year…it certainly brings out the true colours, so to speak.
Growing up through the years, I’m proud to say that I “recruited” several Phins fans and even converted a couple. A lot of my sphere of influence are Phins fans now and it’s great.
I often take large groups of us down to Buffalo (especially for the Miami games) to enjoy the experience as the “rival team” and they all love it. One of my good friends even said this over the past couple years “if it wasn’t for you making me a Miami fan years ago, I wouldn’t have to suffer through all the bad stuff that’s been happening for a while now” but he’s a die-hard none the less…gotta love it!
As for going to games. I’m from Toronto, Canada (near Buffalo, NY) and I’ve gone to about 10 games down in Miami and I absolutely love it! and as for “fair weather fans”, I will use the term LITERALLY because I can’t count the times that I’ve gone down to Miami and it’s been either a perfect day or scorching hot and then some rain or storm comes along and all the locals in the stadium go running for the exits! while I’m praying to God for the rain! hahaha..it’s too funny.
Anyways, be happy for what and who we got and if anyone doesn’t like the teams or leave for another or just doesn’t want to be a fan.. so be it! See ya later and who needs em!

speaking of recruiting Dolphins fans
I just converted a Patriot fan to a Dolphin fan this season. So proud of myself. Oh, you want the rest of the story? Alright. He’s 12, plays for my youth team, and loves Tom Brady. When Brady got hurt, I was like ‘now who are you gonna root for?’ Then Miami blew NE out, and I kept going at him. Then we took a bunch of kids from the league (him included) to the Dolphins/Chargers game, and he was hooked. It was a three-pronged attack on Patriots Nation lol

check back next year.. or in two years. Then you'll know for sure
Glad you grab’d a young Pats fan. That’s always good to hear..but lets wait until next season or two and see if he’s still on board. That’ll be the true test

Your always going to have fairweather fans...
If you’re successful and have an upcoming team you will always have fairweather fans. The Marlins during the Championships, The Rays during this run this postseason, and most definitely the Patriots. If you’re successful you will have them.
