Primetime is Back in Business!

PrintWoohoo! My buddy finally got back from Orlando with his laptop, and I immediately punched him in the stomach and hijacked it. But the better news is that I am now back as a fully functional member of thephinsider.com community! Great news for me, because I was like a crack addict in rehab, just on the floor shaking all day long wishing I could get my fix. And I guess it's great news for all my loyal Gameballs readers, because the column will be back with a vengeance next week.
Also, for anybody interested, a Little Nicky computer update: Pops is currently building a Fort Knox-like setup, Mac and Windows, completely secure, backup hard drives, the works. So not only am I back for now, I may never leave again lol. So you guys are stuck with me. Sorry. Deal with it.

for all my dad knows about computers, the only thing I ever see him do is email dirty pictures and play solitaire. I think he likes the inner workings and stuff more than the internet. I’ll bug him about it, but he’ll definitely have the dirtiest mouth on the site. And he pretty much sucks at typing, he uses the search and poke technique we all used when we were like 4 (for those old guys, 34).

What is with old people
and chain mail?
My dad e-mails me the same messages he gets from his work associates. I had to tell him: Look, I don’t like opening up random messages that have been distributed through out the internet, stop.
Everyday I think old people are amazed at the technological advances that have occurred since they’ve been on this planet.

you need to tell me, 43, soon to be 44, what your definition of old is? I still feel the same as you young bucks do, I just have a little grey showing is all! And, its not so much “amazed”, its appreciated. You have no clue as a Dolphin fan how hard it was to scrap up any kind of info pre-internet and pre-nfl network. Especially, when you’re an out-of-stater like myself.
Respect young lad, respect. We are the “Old Guard” and I’m damn proud of it. And Nicky, it kinda sucks that your Dad is a pup in my book……..lol.

what kind of cooling system are you gna use? still fans or wire coolants? if your old one caught on fire i’m assuming you leave it running constantly, so using the gel coolants would probably save you a ton in electricity bills from your overhyped fans buzzing for 36 straight hours

I’m not a technowizard so I ain’t got a clue lol. Probably fans. The reason it caught fire I think was cause of all the dust and then it sparked trying to start it up. Power supply was crap I guess. The gel cooler stuff sounds cool though, I’ll put pops on to that.

I had a tower I never opened opened up for 3 years
Dust, hair, dead animals, and other assorted shit were inside there. I had to take it outside to clean it out it was so dirty.
But now I have laptop, that i love. 21 inches, 15 lbs, awesome gfx card. Had to buy a large cooling platform because it over heats in a matter of minutes. It’s awesome!

I know I was angry, but it comes with the territory I guess. I’m a volunteer, on the board, a coach, and a League Rep, which is pretty much the guys that run the entire league, so all the League Reps (blue shirts, cuz we wear blue shirts) work security at the cheer comp. I actually enjoy it because there’s a hundred cheer coaches, all hot, all between the ages of 18-24. Worth it sometimes lol.
