Dolphins vs Broncos: Prediction Time!

PrintWell it's again time to make our predictions on this week's game. Above are each team's offensive and defensive rankings. And below are a random sampling of "expert" picks:

Just an interesting note about the above. Mortensen and Jackson are tied with the best pick record on ESPN. Mort, though, has correctly picked all but one of the Dolphins games this year. Let's make it two!
It's also interesting that two former Broncos, including the homer that is Mark Schlereth, both picked the Dolphins.
As for me, I started out 3-1 and have been wrong on the last 3, bringing my mark to that of the Dolphins (3-4). So what about this week?
For some reason, I feel good about this week. I'm confident that the Dolphins will get Ronnie Brown going. I see 100+ yards from Brown this week. The question will be if the Dolphins can slow down Denver's offense. Joey Porter has to get pressure on Jay Cutler - and I think he will, picking up at least another sack.
In the end, I have a feeling this game will come down to turnovers. Luckily, the Dolphins don't commit too many. If they can keep that trend up, I think the Dolphins can upset Denver.
I'll take the Dolphins, 27-24.

I too feel the Broncos can be beat by the Fins. The Broncos really should have a worse record than they do – a last play victory against the Saints and the terrible whistle call by Hoculi against San Diego. They could have 2 less victories. Brandon Marshall will get his yards AND turn the ball over. He is careless with the ball.

Pennington leads a two minute drive for a TD to win the game, TD comes on a slant to Ginn just outside the Red Zone and he houses it. Ronnie has 3 TD’s.
Also, Joey Porter gets 3 sacks, and strips Cutler and takes it to the house for the other TD. And my buddy styg writes a ball-fondling fanpost about JP on Monday lol

we’ll need a couple creative wildcat plays -
Ronnie Brown errant pass hits Shannahan on the head, knocking him out of the game. Without the rat to make offensive adjustments, the Dolphins cruise to victory 42-16. No? Not ethical? Okay…how about this:
New wildcat defense formation invented – the biggest difference here is that it uses a topless cheerleader at the middle linebacker position. The resultant distraction prevents Denver from scoring and Miami wins it 28-0. Still no? Geez…..
No punts all game. Miami gets the one crucial turnover and wins it 35-31

I will be listening to Jim Mandich and Joe Rose call the game on 105.9 here in Titusville Fl, ….. I think their showing Dallas vs. Giants here on tv (yuck)…. I wish I could watch us tear Denver’s ass up, but I just have to settle with hearing the game instead. I have to say that I do enjoy hearing Jim and Joe call the game. They give a very good account of whats going on and paint a pretty nice picture in my mind .
