  Well everyone, it looks like I have finally made it big. I checked my email today and Matty I asked me let you guys inside my mind weekly. I told him it wasn't safe. I told him it was too dangerous, but he insisted upon it. So here it is. Your weekly dose of "inside the mind of rzayo24". (Cue Halloween music).

 When I was 12 my family almost moved from Coral Springs ,Florida to San Fransico, California. At this time I was already a huge Dolphins fan, so breaking that bond would not have been easy. On the other hand this was during the 49ers dynasty. Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, and Steve Young were just a few of the Hall of Famers I would have grew up with. Being a kid, I think there is a good chance I could have been brainwashed into being a 49ers fan. Man did I dodge a bullet. Thanks Mom and Dad. Go Florida baby.

  I have a question for you. Have you honestly sat down and thought about how we ended up with Chad Pennington? Talk about alternate worlds. We were just fine going into the first game starting McCown against, of all people, Pennington and the Jets. Instead Brett Favre picked up a football at some remote high school in Mississippi ,and Chad ends up on our side. Thank God. I do not want to even get a visual of McCown running this offense. Chad really is the perfect quarterback for this team and this offense.

Star-divide

Would you rather be talented or lucky? That was the question on the radio today. I spent the entire ride home from work trying to answer that question. Are the Dolphins getting lucky, or are they getting more talented? When I ask myself that question, I realized i hoped they were getting more talented. So i guess I would rather be more talented, because I will always be talented, but you won't always be lucky. Haha.

  Am I the only one having Ronnie Brown flashbacks while driving? I mean I day dream and all I see is Ronnie Brown lowering his shoulder blasting Chargers left and right.  I swear to you I daydream a play where Ronnie scores then Im like "that play didnt even happen in the game". Ladies and Gentlemen Ronnie Brown is inside my head still running the Wildcat. Are you gonna be the one who asks him to stop? Me neither. He'll get tired eventually.

  The Wildcat. I looked up the definition and it did not scare me. Bascially it means a cat that ran away. Thats not tough enough for me. I propose "el chuppacabra". Whats that? You don't now what that is? Its bascially a "catlike" creature comparable to Big Foot. Nobody has ever seen it, and It is killing things left and right. People are not even sure it exists. Its pretty much an urban legend people tell stories about seeing. A ninja like, unknown, and lethal cat? Thats the kind of cat we should be naming this play after.

  I read the Sports section everyday, in my very special place if you know what I mean. Today I was in a rush and didnt get a chance. At work today I was looking around the newspapers sports websites, just reading things here and there. Tonight I got home and grabbed the sports section only to see that I had read the entire thing online already. That made me angry, and I didnt really know why. I guess It is because I grew up with the sports section being so important. It was virtually your only way, other than the evening news, to hear about your Dolphins on a day to day basis. Now I can miss it and probally save myself allot of time. Just makes me kind of sad I guess. I grew up talking to my Dad about the sports paper, and was hoping my kids would do the same. I suppose we will have to blog on Phinsider together and chat from seperate rooms.

  The trading deadline is approaching. The only name of note so far mentioned has been Roy Williams. New management is in place and he is a free agent after this year. This seems very similar to, for example, C.C. Sabathia's situation in baseball this year. The team trading the star just wants to get something for them, before they leave during free agency and they recieve nothing. Our biggest need is at wide reciever, so why not take a stab at a Pro Bowl caliber young wideout? We have two second-round picks this year. Would you trade them for Roy Williams? Looking back at last years draft let me ask you this. Would you trade Chad Henne and Phillip Merling for Roy Williams? I would not. See my dillema? If you pick smart second round picks are building blocks for your teams future. Some would argue you take the proven star, over the unknown. I guess that is why they pay guys like Parcells the big bucks huh?

  Well thats enough. Its time for everyone to leave. Husker got dirt on my rug, Finsxfactor keeps looking in my fridge (and my boxers drawer), Chris is smoking in my bathrom, Little Nicky is creeping me out with all his talk about "gameballs", and Matty I keeps tellng me how i could decorate my place cooler. Seriously guys I hope next week you will at least wear shirts. Respect casa de rzayo. I would like to thank my sponsors. Old Spice and Nautral Light beer.   I think we bounced pretty high the last two weeks. Thanks to the Miami Dolphins for making the last two weeks a pleasure to watch and blog about. Winning is like a good friend coming home. It feels like its been forever since Ive seen him..

  Sorry about the dirt, but I have a confession……its not dirt, I was out looking at some places with my friend today on where to set up a deer stand and may have got my boots in a cowchip or two.
  I’m glad you brought up the trade thing, the deadline is just a week away, and I’m kinda clueless as to what if anything the Dolphins might do. A suggestion, give Hagan and a 2nd rounder for Roy Williams…..lol.
  GREAT read, great that you’re a Dolphin not a 49’er (you forgot to mention Roger Craig and Tom Rathman), and I’ll be looking forward to your weekly post!
  Also……anyone that quotes Patton goes on my “A” list right away.

Great job!

I want to start by saying that the quote of General Patton was well played.

I really like the question you pose about Roy Williams. And to be honest, I have no idea how to answer it. But I guess, with the decision makers we have in place, I’d lean towards NOT reaching for Williams and instead keeping all of our picks.

But you can make an argument either way, which makes the question very interesting.
