And people thought I was crazy

Taking Ronnie Brown in fantasy football this year :)

He’s about to lead me to championships in all 6 of my leagues, just needed to be a little patient with him.

Love them Fish

I actually do believe now. Anything. That win was real.

by Corroncho on Oct 5, 2008 4:04 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

It was seriously real

The Chargers were scoring left and right all season…

I believe, the most any team has on avg this year, but their def was slack….

Our def is real and will improve, our offense needs some work, but it is getting there.

Wow

It wasnt a blowout but that was a great game.

We’ve turned some heads today, and for now atleast the Fins are relevant, we’ve gone from laughing stock to “They’re back!” in just 5 weeks.

I think the Bills may be one of the best in the AFC this season… I think they’re for real…

We’ll take the NYJ next time, and possibly beat NE again at home… but Buffalo scares me

Great Game

Both the o and the d were great in this game, now all we need is special teams… I’m worried everytime they are involved in the game.

An unbelievable win! We’ve got a real chance in this division.

by kdock on Oct 5, 2008 4:16 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I don't know what is the most satisfying in this W ?

The dominant O-line, opening holes, and keeping the pressure off chad’s shoulders

OR

The D, stepping up in the entire second half !!!

I believe that both are making me so hopeful for the future of our franchise !!!

WHO SAYS WE CANT COMPETE FOR THE AFC EAST TITLE

After 4 weeks I have some answers about our team.

1. The coaching staff is for real these guys know how to coach….
2. Our D can get to the passer and stop the run and they are tough in the Red Zone.
3. Chad comes as advertised. Doesnt put up gawdy numbers but is the most accurate QB in the game and you can add one of the smartest to go along with it.
4. We know who the starting RB is and how well he came back from his injury.
5. Our OL and DL are BEAST.

We are only going to get better………..WHO’S NEXT!!!!!!!!!

looking back at the jets game

you gotta hand it to favre, he got a poor team an away win against what’s proving to be a fantastic young team…
favre may yet prove to be a force in this division… he bothers me

UP TOP, DOWN LOW, FIST BUMP!

Today rocked! I had to go to church and take the family to brunch, so I was recording the game. Of course, they end up showing it at the Denny’s we went to, and I was trying my best to ignore it so I could watch it when I got home. But I did catch the score at 10-3, and was then rushing everyone through their meals. :)

Lucky for me they were showing it as the local CBS game since it was a Charger game, or I wouldn’t have been able to record it. :)

So I gotta say that I'm impressed with Roth, Ronnie, Satele and EK

as four guys that I was admittedly less than optimistic about through the first few games.

Matty, i agree, Ronnie is a beast. Satele is looking good, which might be because the whole Oline is shaping up. Same for EK… I say him blocking downfield and he looked hungry to hit someone.

And Roth… what can I say? I think everyone here was wondering if he would make the conversion or be the next “old regime” casualty. The kid can actually be considered a Saban success, even though it makes me cringe to credit that guy with anything good.

Also, don’t know if anyone noticed, but J. Allen was all around the ball on STs. That just may save him. He looks like he is playing good enough on STs to stay on the team and maybe have a chance to develop as a DB.

And final note:
San Diego has scored, 24, 38, 48, 28, in prior games, repectively. Today, the Fins held ’em to 10 points. 10 POINTS!
That by itself is HUGE, and says tons about what the Fins are accomplishing. I would expect to see many “experts” give a hat tip to the Fins this week for shutting down the “high powered” Charger offense.

Congrats to all!

Finsxfactor........that was lame

If you hate it when people come on this site and do the same thing then why turn around and act like an idiot? Is that all a win for us gives us the credit and ability to do? To go on someone else’s site and write stupid trash talk like that? I think if anything, these post-Marino years should have taught us humility so that we know how to appreciate a win and not go about bragging about it. Show some class and integrity, dont be trashy and idiotic.

the goal line stop did it for me

……Overall, that defense is really starting to look bigger and stronger. I think being able to stop the run is the best way to rebuild your defense. As long as our front seven gets pressure on the opposing qb, our secondary looks decent. Fortunately Rivers missed on Jackson deep, cause he was behind the secondary.

For all of us fans who stood by Miami

That was awesome. Just watching the game center updates on a sports site from my busy job today….that game meant a lot to me.

It doesn’t guarantee playoffs. It doesnt mean we’re back this year for certain. It just feels good, as a guy in Upstate New York (Bills country), who – when they were 1-15, when our RB was the poster boy for smoking dope, when our head coach jumped ship….whenever the chips were down (and they were down a lot) whenever I was asked…..freely admitted his love for a Dolphins team. Never gave up on them.

It feels G.D. GOOD to be a Dolphins fan today, and about as rewarding as it can get! 2 wins does a lot, dont they?

Everybody have a great Sunday too!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Defense saves the day. I can’t remember when the D stepped up like that. The TD they got was set up by a false start that was not called. The defense didn’t play to the wistle. They let up because the L guard on the bolts false started. That was the only reason they hung around. I wish Ricky would of hit Jammer square on Ronnie’s TD run, lights out!!!! 2 in a row, how sweet. I love it when I can go into work on Monday and talk trash.

I do not think that Bess is the returner of the future, what about Ginn? I know that he is a bigger part of the offense, but Bess is not very solid at returning kicks or punts. Not knocking him at receiver. . .I like him, just not as a return man. Do we have any other options?

WOO HOO

I was at the game, sitting in the east end zone, 2 seats from the BACK of the stadium, and Dolphin Stadium was louder than any other game I remember. Not only are the fins back, but so is the home field advantage. The crowd was great today, rain or not. And yea there was empty seats, but I attribute that to the weather, if it’s not rainy the place is jam packed for sure.

I’m still a little drunk and haven’t seen any stats yet, but I’ll get my Gameballs post up sometime tomorrow morning. But wow what a game! The whole stadium had a buzz about it from the opening kickoff until we hit the turnpike on the ride home. We even mercilessly harrassed a Jet fan in our section wearing a Brett Favre (yuck) jersey. Great experience, already looking forward to trying to get tix for the Ravens game!

On this team, we are all united in a common goal: to keep my job.

That's Good To Hear

If Miami plays this way hopefully we can tip the Florida fan base scale in Miami’s favor… It’s annoying to see all these out-of state-ers move to South Florida bringing there team with them. Really messes up any kind of home field advantage when half the stadium is rooting for the other team.
