DOLPHINS vs. BRONCOS INVESCO Field at Mile High 11/2/2008 Chad Pennington continues to provide a steadying influence at the quarterback position, as he accounted for his fourth 100.0-plus passer rating performance in his last five outings. He tallied the sixth 300-yard passing game of his career, as he compiled 314 yards en route to a rating of 117. Brandon Marshall looks LIKE A PROBLEM WE HAVE TO PRESURE CULTER HE WILL SCRAMBLE AND WE HAVE TO ACOUNT FOR THAT HE THROWS PRETTY GOOD ON THE RUN AND MARSHALL IS A GOOD ROUTE RUNNER WHO WILL STEP UP BIG TO STOP THIS TANDAM??? A MIX OF RUN AND PASS WILL BE CRITACAL I LIKEED WHAT I SAW FROM RICKEY AND GINN HOPEFULLY WE CAN PUT IT ALL TOGETHER THIS WK GO FINNSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I hate to see a blog go untouched.
I have alot of faith in our coaching staff (Way more than last year) to put a good game plan together. This isn’t a trap game. This is not an easy game. I think the lead will change hands a bunch leading up to last possesion field goal by whoever lol.
This has always been a great matchup and pretty evenly matched with wins/loses.
Maybe Matty will add a little history of these 2 teams in his preview of the game?
dolphins always win though =)

Bad weather
A storm is brewing off the west coast, I don’t know if it will reach Denver by Sunday. Would bad weather benefit the Fins?
phyrmun
my weather reports says 'hi of 66 cloudy' for sunday and i'm right next to denver
but def. would not benefit the fins if it storms as its pretty cold rain, not like ‘tropical’ rain…makes ya cold… i’d definitely be handing off to Ronnie and not Ricky if that were the case lol
I think we may benefit
because Denver can chuck it on any defense, and our secondary is ew. So if it becomes a nasty, rainy, run-the-ball type of game, it favors our 2 strengths, power football and run defense. Bring the rain I say.

afreed totally
our secondary isn’t going to stop cutler and co, so we better hope some wind, rain, or snow does. if it goes to a running game, ill take Ronnie and Ricky over Selvin Young and Michael Pittman.
I hope I don't sound too much like a douche right now.
I enjoy cross-blogging when it’s good, and you all have an awesome SBN site that I would like to contribute to. The only one so far that I’ve seen that can compete, and maybe even surpass MHR.
So here’s something to consider about the Broncos’ O: Lately, Cutler and Co. have been stopping themselves with idiotic mental breakdowns and turnovers, and opposing defenses haven’t really had to do anything to stop them. Also of note is a steadily decreasing point total over the course of the year: 41 in week one, then 39, then 34, 19, 16, 17, and 7. Granted, we have still been able to move the ball, especially apparent in the Chiefs game when we almost doubled their first downs, but we’ve been having the same red zone difficulty that plagued us last year. We have just fumbled it away way too many times inside the 20.
Also, I’m not sure what kind of defense the Dolphins run, but if it is a Cover 2 then you can rest a little easier. A system like that that forces the quarterback to limit deep throws and throw the underneath stuff has proven difficult for Jay Cutler to figure out. He still hasn’t reached the stage in his career when quarterbacks learn how to throw a touch pass, and he often gets too anxious and impatient when teams take away the deep ball. Then he starts to force it and the interceptions start coming. Now, he’s still very good in my opinion, but that is how you stop him.
And don’t forget to include Ryan Torain in that backfield. Personally, I don’t really know much (read: anything) about him, but if Mike Shanahan is high enough on him that he reserves him a roster spot for 8 weeks to sit around and do nothing, rather than IR him, as would happen with most 5th rounders, means that he must hae some kind of talent. I just can’t wait to see him in action, and it will be interesting to see how he does in his first game against a very respectable Phins defense.
